With the turn of the millennium Tommee began touring his own music and sharing his vibes initially with his band, ‘The Neighbourhood’, and now as a solo performer.
A master of string instruments (both indigenous and contemporary), Tommee’s songs bring together the sounds and spirits of many cultures from across the globe, particularly those of his Indonesian homeland. Fusing the sounds of the Kecapi (West Java), five Indonesian dialects, some inspirational English and virtuoso guitar that traverses reggae, blues and hints of latin and jazz, Tommee’s live shows are as musically rich as his spirit is warm.
As a solo performer, Tommee continues to entice audiences to dance and groove to his music, with a rhythm section that’s filled with his trusty Stump Box and Shakers.
