To date, the band has released five studio albums, one EP and one box set. They emerged with a heavy metal sound on their first studio album, Undertow (1993), and became a dominant act in the alternative metal movement with the release of their follow-up album Ænima in 1996. Their efforts to unify musical experimentation, visual arts, and a message of personal evolution continued with Lateralus (2001) and 10,000 Days (2006), gaining critical acclaim and international commercial success. Their fifth studio album, Fear Inoculum, was released on August 30, 2019, to widespread critical acclaim. Prior to its release, the band had sold more than 13 million albums in the US alone.
Due to Tool's incorporation of visual arts and very long and complex releases, the band is generally described as a style-transcending act and part of progressive rock, psychedelic rock, and art rock. The relationship between the band and today's music industry is ambivalent, at times marked by censorship, and the band's insistence on privacy.

Tool Lyrics
I know the pieces fit 'cause I watched them fall away
Mildewed and smoldering, fundamental differing
Pure intention juxtaposed will set two lover's souls in motion
Disintegrating as it goes testing our communication
The light that fueled our fire then has burned a hole between us so
We cannot see to reach an end crippling our communication
I know the pieces fit 'cause I watched them tumble down
No fault, none to blame, it doesn't mean I don't desire
To point the finger, blame the other, watch the temple topple over
To bring the pieces back together, rediscover communication
The poetry that comes from the squaring off between
And the circling is worth it
Finding beauty in the dissonance
There was a time that the pieces fit, but I watched them fall away
Mildewed and smoldering, strangled by our coveting
I've done the math enough to know the dangers of our second guessing
Doomed to crumble unless we grow and strengthen our communication
(Cold, cold, cold) cold silence has
A tendency to
Atrophy any
Sense of compassion
Between supposed lovers
Between supposed lovers
I know the pieces fit
I know the pieces fit
I know the pieces fit
I know the pieces fit
I know the pieces fit
I know the pieces fit
I know the pieces fit
I know the pieces fit

@Priscilla Gregg When you sit back and analyze EXACTLY what has been ALLOWED to occur, you begin to realize how diabolically insane and CRIMINAL some are in our own families and in our society. The end result to this is to:
1) Bankrupt the victim (Destruction of property, faulty firings, block employment, (possibly stealing my information from applications thus creating a fear to apply to any other position ...more illegal activity etc...) See how it works...evil !
2) Make the victim homeless
3) Psychologically abuse, smear the victim, LIE about mental health issues/SUD (Defamation of Character).
4. Infiltrate communication- illegally infiltrate and repeatedly invade my privacy ! Block other communication with true friends, while purposely sabotaging any chance of academic success ! It is illegal, and there is much more to that CYBER CRIME !
This of course is done to isolate the victim, to further continue the horrific abuse !
When someone has been subjected to horrific REAL crimes and various forms of REAL abuse, it is reported repeatedly, the victim is GASLIT, and REAL crime/abuse is ignored ....that is a MAJOR problem (Dereliction of Duty) ! That is human torture and is 8th Amendment Right violation ! There is NO point or purpose to this except to ruin any success or joy in someone's life, and to destroy an innocent female, in addition to her born female infant baby (Miya Jane Justeson 2/23/2007-3/18/2007).
I could go into specific detail, however the list of REAL crimes and abuses is quite extensive ! I am sure you get the point that I am stating ! Sometimes some (not all) of the perpetrators are closer than you think ! So, the pieces do fit...when you analyze them.
#arrest #lawsuit
The real questions lie in the following :
1) How did this begin ?
2) Who authorized this to occur ?
3) Why have the REAL crimes and abuses been ignored ?
4) Why is there major gaslighting and LYING ?

The individual pieces of this song aren’t hard to play. But, the timing, and the way they fit… it really is genius. What glorious weirdos.
Ken Simmons
That is part of the genius, taking "easy" pieces and putting them together in a unique masterpiece.

@Majiks I can’t believe this comment got 5k likes lol. Now… if only I could take all these people and funnel them to my own channel. I’m sure many would be turned off first second they hear my light stuff. Anyways, some day some guy is going to be in the comments of my song saying he can’t believe his comment got a lot of likes. It’ll be a perfect circle. Eh?… yeah, I didn’t sleep. I’ll go now.
Majiks
Almost like the timing of the song is a schism

@Arminius Music yeah but guitar players get pissed when you ask them to play it because it's the simplest song you can play on the guitar. Which I think is hilarious. Then I tell them to play Jon 5 and the creatures to take it to the other end of the spectrum 🤣

@Crusty Juggler I got clean from crack and heroin through AA. I kept the drug stuff to myself and just substituted the word alcohol, and it might be shitty thing to do, but it worked for me. 12 yrs sober.

@V idk what all you're on, but I got clean w AA. I wasn't an alcoholic - but I kept that to myself. Kinda shitty of me, but it worked. 14 yrs sober from crack and heroin. You can do it, you just need help. All my love to you.
