a 4-piece horn section to create a fusion of ska, rock and jazz that
has proven tremendously popular with teens and adults alike (and even a few grandmas!). As a band that takes themselves "just seriously enough, "their live shows involve plenty of onstage antics, instrument changes, and a healthy dose of crowd interaction. It's this combination of talent and offbeat humor that has earned them a loyal fan base throughout the state of Florida and established them as a power house in Tampa Bay's music scene in just one short year.
"UNRB absolutely, hands-down, unequivocally killed their set" - Cynthia Muilligan, Creative Loafing - Tampa Bay
Since forming, UNRB has won a regional Battle of the Bands (beating out veteran groups from 3 different states), played large-scale music festivals in DeLand, Inverness and Satellite Beach, and embarked on a statewide tour from Tallahassee to West Palm Beach. With multi-day festivals in Cape Coral and Melbourne as well as the release of their self-titled EP in the near future, UNRB continues to prove their mettle at home, in the studio and on the road. 2011 will be capped off with a trip to NYC in December to record a live set at Evolution Sound State (Twisted Sister's studio) which will be broadcast on The Real Radio Show on 103.9 WRCN Long Island's Only Classic Rock Station on Christmas Eve. Man of Men
on Manifest Destiny
Manifest Destiny will manifest itself to me, heading for western sand! Driving out the Cherokee and taking what belongs to me, this is our promised land!
Well I've heard the latest sentiment, that we should claim the continent. From sea to shining sea all in the name of liberty. And this "Texas" situation could be solved with annexation, its the latest crazy scene in the Nation! (Hey Hey) Feeling like I never felt before... (Hey Hey) A chance for us to settle up the score... (Hey Hey) Now somebody's knocking at the door, Oh who could it be?
Manifest Destiny will manifest itself to me, heading for western sand! Driving out the Cherokee and taking what belongs to me, this is our promised land!
I don't care about the savages, or where they built their villages. Just give e'm fifty years and they'll forget that trail of tears. As for Mexico, I don't know, how far do we wanna go!? Its fifty four for the (???) but that don't mean its right! (Hey Hey) Feeling like I never felt before... (Hey Hey) A chance for us to settle up the score... (Hey Hey) Now somebody's knocking at the door, Oh is it for me?
Manifest Destiny will manifest itself to me, heading for western sand! Driving out the Cherokee and taking what belongs to me, this is our promised land!
