Since the age of 16, Uness’ unlimited creative potential has taken him to the four corners of the world, earning him praise and attention from many industry leading executives, producers, and artists.
In 2006, Uness signed a production/artist deal with super-producer Ryan Leslie's NextSelection Lifestyle Group as a songwriter/producer/artist. Since then, Uness has written and produced hits such as “Woman Got Culture,” “Over,” “Taste Your Heartbeat,” “What’s the Matter?,” “Intimate,” “Not with You” (Cassie) and the list goes on…
Alongside his many hits, Uness has released numerous mixtapes including hosting and featuring on “The Future of R&B Vol.12” with New York’s own TapeMasters Inc. in 2007. Two years later, Uness released his official mixtape series called “The Seeker,” which became one of his most applauded solo projects to date.
While on his journey, Uness has performed for fans around the world including the USA, Canada, Germany, France, Switzerland, Dubai and Morocco. Whether singing on his acoustic guitar in an intimate setting or making timeless records in his personal studio, Uness has always known how to touch his listeners by means of the universal language of music.
In addition to his solo career, Uness began a new cultural movement inspired by the struggle of oppressed youths around the world. Uness made the attempt to offer them a non-violent medium of expression by creating Crime in the City (CIC) (summer 2008) – a community-oriented artist collective designed to provide young aspiring artists with a creative environment.
Presently, Uness and Crime in the City have been making records and developing projects with local Montreal acts such as Dj iZ, K-R!M, Mc Paesano, CeasRock and Tadeeo, and is always in search of new, talented, and open-minded collaborators.
This year, Uness and his team will be flooding the virtual social networks worldwide with quality music of all genres and influences. Most importantly, this will be achieved with the passion and purpose that drives them every single day: their unconditional love for music!
