The following year another student, Tom Fleming (bass), became a full-time member of the band. After A-levels, they all decamped to Leeds, where three of them enrolled at the city's university whilst Little worked at odd jobs.
Their debut single, Brave Bulging Buoyant Clairvoyants backed with The Old Dog was released on Bad Sneakers Records on 20th November 2006. Their second single Through Dark Night backed with Please, Sir was released 23rd April as their last single on Bad Sneakers. In February 2007 the band signed to Domino Records. A debut album Limbo, Panto was released in the UK on June 16 2008 with strong critical endorsement. Their second album, Two Dancers, was released on 3 August 2009 to widespread critical acclaim, receiving 9/10 reviews from NME and Drowned in Sound. It was also ranked at #41 on NME's top 100 albums of the decade. Their third album, Smother was released on May 9, 2011.
The four boys of Wild Beasts aren’t concerned with being of the modern or being of the renaissance, being baggy pantsed or being tight pantsed, being in a scene or being in a place. Wild Beasts’ music just is.
On 25 September 2017, the band announced that they were disbanding, playing their final gig on 17 February 2018.

Wild Beasts Lyrics
We're decadent beyond our means, we've a zeal
We feel the things they'll never feel
They're solemn in their wealth, we're high in our poverty
We see the things they never see
Wanderlust
With us, the world feels voluptuous
I just feel more, with us
It's a feeling that I've come to trust
Now that you answer to me
I'll tell you how I wanna feel
Now that the walls have been broke
I'll tell you how I wanna feel
Wanderlust
With us, the world feels voluptuous
I just feel more, with us
It's a feeling that I've come to trust
It's a feeling that I've come to trust
It's a feeling that I've come
Don't confuse me with someone who gives a fuck
Funny how that little pound will buy a lot of luck
Don't confuse me with someone who gives a fuck
In your mother tongue, what's the verb to suck?
Don't confuse me with someone who gives a fuck
Funny how that little pound will buy a lot of luck
Don't confuse me with someone who gives a fuck
In your mother tongue, what's the verb to suck?
Don't confuse me with someone who gives a fuck
Funny how that little pound will buy a lot of luck

These are the lyrics, as far as I can tell:
We’re decadent beyond our means
We’ve a zeal
We feel the things they'll never feel
The solemn in their wealth
We’re high in our poverty
They see the things they never see
The wanderlust
With us the world feels voluptuous
I just feel no wanderlust
It’s a feeling that I’ve come to trust
Now that you answer to me
I tell you how I wanna feel
Now that the walls have been broke
I tell you how I wanna feel
The wanderlust
With us the world feels voluptuous
I just feel more one with us
It’s a feeling that I’ve come to trust
Don’t confuse me with someone who gives a fuck
Funny how that little girl (or gold?) buy a lotta luck
Don’t confuse me with someone who gives a fuck
In your mother tongue what’s the verb to suck

@Peter Knowles I went to the farewell concerts in Feb 2017 and they were incredible! Hayden who is a very soft spoken and intelligent person is still making great music!
Peter Knowles
So true. I discovered them with this song and then they were gone. Such a shame
Glenn Lovejoy

Only Hayden would use the word voluptuous in song lyrics, they're just incredible

Funny how that little pound (England's currency) can buy a lotta luck.
That's what I'm hearing.

such an incredible song..I've loved every song they've ever put out..digging this one for its darker undertone(I've listened to it 10+times today)...love the music video too, pretty intense..the last few minutes is definitely my favorite part..the ending makes me cry lol I'm not sure why either..would love to hear different interpretations for the song/music video
