What was the film score by John Williams you heard first?

Superman was the first song I remember hearing by John Williams. There is a story behind it too. I had heard it many times on a TV commercial back in the late seventies early eighties, I was maybe 4 or 5 years old at the time. I would get so excited I would become superman. The story goes I was allowed to hold my baby brother who was only a few months old at the time. When the Superman theme came on the TV, I tossed my brother into the air and yelled, "It's Superman!" My mother and grandmother, who of course, were nearby, caught him safely. They were not too happy with me and consequently, I was not allowed to hold my baby brother. Probably for the best.

The Cowboys (staring John Wayne) that was 50 years ago, I will never forget it! (but I have to add that , after reading thru comments, it was "Lost in space" late 60s American television.BUT I only just now learned that John Williams wrote that theme as well-and it does not surprise me because I can sing it even now- it is the way Williams writes unforettable melodies and how he featureshorns that is one of the reasons I love his compositions.
