Mull Of Kintyre
by Wings

Mull of Kintyre, oh mist rolling in from the sea
My desire is always to be here
Oh Mull of Kintyre

Far have I traveled and much have I seen
Darkest of mountains with valleys of green
Past painted deserts the sun sets on fire
As he carries me home to the Mull of Kintyre

Mull of Kintyre, oh mist rolling in from the sea
My desire is always to be here
Oh Mull of Kintyre

Sweep through the heather like deer in the glen
Carry me back to the days I knew then
Nights when we sang like a heavenly choir
Of the life and the times of the Mull of Kintyre

Mull of Kintyre, oh mist rolling in from the sea
My desire is always to be here
Oh Mull of Kintyre

Smiles in the sunshine and tears in the rain
Still take me back where my memories remain
Flickering embers go higher and higher
As they carry me back to the Mull of Kintyre

Mull of Kintyre, oh mist rolling in from the sea
My desire is always to be here
Oh Mull of Kintyre

Mull of Kintyre, oh mist rolling in from the sea
My desire is always to be here
Oh Mull of Kintyre

We'll make sure it does Dawson. My Mother was part Scottish with a heart of gold & so full of love. Her sense of humor had no boundaries .Once I asked my Dad what did he think of Mom when he first Met/Saw her.Dad replied & said well son it was 1947 & I was 22 yrs old everyone seemed to gravitate towards your mother. Not only was she beautiful your Mother had a magnetic charm about her.I asked My best friend Michael who she was? And he replied "The untouchable Alice Murray" That's her sister Mary in the light blue dress" My Dad said that he was planing his next move when my aunt Mary & her escort my uncle Glen both came up & introduced themselves to him.The party was at my grandparents summer home in southern California. As everyone was leaving my Dad went up to my Aunt Mary & thank her for her hospitality. My Mom was outside saying goodnight to friends. My Dad went up to Mom & said " Thank you Alice for such a simply wonderful evening. My Mom said I'm glad you enjoyed it" And the rest is history 💏 My Dear parents were married for 66 years. And both my grandparents knew each other assisting in war charitable activities. My faternal grandparents were French & it pained them deeply to lose contact with so many family/friends during the war. Thank you for listening.Take care Arnold Bourbon Amaral
