Just saying, I get how you might feel it’s a reach but trust me, Day is very thorough in how he structures his verses.
You are right though, it’s not a strong bar but it’s passable
The Genie/G need one, the fire in/firing the middle one and the Vishiss one made it up for me. Plus, I feel structure is a very underrated thing in Hip Hop nowadays. Anyone can use a matador punch yes, but how he structures it somehow makes a bar I usually wouldn’t go back to listen way harder than it should be lol.
I think Avo had said something which I think aptly applies to Daylyt. He’s one of those dudes that somehow makes tuff bars out of damn near anything😂

Suprisesizefrieswithsideofsuicide I think it was more they can’t make music concepts. Versus making music period. Many battlers got the bars, but they lack artistry, flow and overall good rapping. It be a bunch of bars and punches that are, to a degree, random af.
But to be fair, I think it was the freestyler battlers that made people think that battlers can’t make music.

Listened to this once. Then listened to the whole thing again. It's really rare I do that but this was a great track and required an instant second listen. Really hard to pick a best verse but B Dot did sound pretty awesome as soon as his verse kicked in. The beat really suited his style. Liked how illmac was used for the sort of chorus.
