Grow Till Tall
Jónsi Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

You'll know, when's time to go on
You'll really want to grow and grow till tall
They all, in the end, will fall

You'll know, when's time to go on
You'll really want to grow and grow till tall
They all, in the end, will fall

You'll know, when's time to go on
You'll really want to grow and grow till tall
They all, in the end, will fall

Grow till tall, they all, in the end, will fall
They, in the end, will turn and fall

You'll know, you'll fall
You'll know, you'll know
You'll know, you'll know
You'll know

You'll, know
You'll, know
You'll, know
You'll, know
You'll, know
You'll, know
You'll, know
You'll, know
You'll, know
You'll, know
You'll, know
You'll, know
You'll, know
You'll, know
You'll, know
You'll, know

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Jónsi's song "Grow Till Tall" speak to a sense of determination and a need for growth, both physically and emotionally. The lyrics repeat the phrase "you'll really want to grow and grow till tall" which can be interpreted as a metaphor for personal growth and development, as well as a physical manifestation of gaining strength and becoming a more powerful force. The repetition of the phrase "they all, in the end, will fall" can be taken as a reminder that even the most powerful and successful individuals will eventually face their own setbacks and fall from grace.

The overall message of the song seems to be one of perseverance and a refusal to give up, even in the face of inevitable failures and setbacks. The line "you'll know when it's time to go on" could be seen as a call to action, urging listeners to be aware of their own goals and to push forward towards them, no matter what obstacles they may face.

Some additional themes that could be gleaned from the song include the importance of self-reflection and the idea that growth itself is a never-ending process. The use of the simple, circular melody and repeated lyrics also serves to reinforce these ideas, creating a sense of meditative focus that encourages listeners to stay present in the moment and keep moving forward.

I discover Jonsi when I finished watching "how to train a dragon" the ending song was sticks and stones.

I was watching it with my family and at the end of the movie my whole family was asleep and I was the only one that was awake because the movie was so good it got me hooked.

As the movie ended and sticks and stone begins to play, I looked out side the window and the sun was beginning to rise, the moment was perfect, it was so magical. A moment I will treasure for the rest of my life.

This song makes me appreciate his music so much, the bliss that is forever eternal.

The musically ignorant prob cannot hear the chordal movement. I am not sure, I graduated high school with an appreciation for this type of music. Do not feed the trolls.
