Ticket to Ride
The Beatles Lyrics

I think I'm gonna be sad
I think it's today, yeah
The girl that's driving me mad
Is going away

She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
And she don't care

She said that living with me
Was bringing her down yeah
For she would never be free
When I was around

She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
But she don't care

I don't know why she's ridin' so high
She ought to think twice
She ought to do right by me
Before she gets to saying goodbye
She ought to think twice
She ought to do right by me

I think I'm gonna be sad
I think it's today yeah
The girl that's driving me mad
Is going away, yeah

Ah, she's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
But she don't care

I don't know why she's ridin' so high
She ought to think twice
She ought to do right by me
Before she gets to saying goodbye
She ought to think twice
She ought to do right by me

She said that living with me
Was bringing her down, yeah
For she would never be free
When I was around

Ah, she's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
She's got a ticket to ride
But she don't care

My baby don't care, my baby don't care
My baby don't care, my baby don't care
My baby don't care, my baby don't care

McCartney and Lennon's voices overlapping is priceless. All the songs that they sing together are magical.

Their best songs were two part harmonies. Paul's voice was stronger in the conventional sense. But John's was more unique. No one sounded like him.

All the bills are doing good they got to work at the team

@Lucie Melahn I love Let Em In! If you listen carefully Paul sings a nice Everly Brothers harmony when he name checks them!

this song is incredible. that drum rhythm, that guitar lick, those vocal harmonies are off the hook. I'm blown away

@Ian KH Not on Ticket To Ride. Paul plays lead guitar on the studio recording. He's probably playing an Epiphone Casino. That was a new guitar to him at the time. When The Beatles went on tour in 1965, George was playing the lead guitar parts for Ticket To Ride.

The guy with guitar was playing/singing Fab Four songs in a lounge of a Cruising Ship and bragging "name any Beatle song". I couldn't resist myself and shouted "Ticket To Ride" - fully knowing how difficult song that is (letting slide of course absolute impossibilities like 'Strawberry Fields Forever'). No, we didn't get that but we all felt fine.

@Lisa Parsons Paul plays the bass. George is the lead guitarist.
