R.I.P. Jeff Beck. True giant of music and the world of guitar. So talented, so unique.
Sargent Stradenko
You can pick your favorite guitarist from the electric pioneers that are still alive, but Jeff Beck is the only one that has stayed relevant, moved with the times, and can play all styles - not limited to one. He is the guitar hero's hero.

Absolutely right, some are just catching. The master of his instrument, and while labeled difficult by some, mostly for doing it JB's way. Many great guitarist. But to remain fresh and relevant past your sixties GOAT
Billion Dollar Idea
True! I understood music thanks to him and the concept of "if it sounds good then its good" as well as how free music can be. Thanks JB, i even have the SD JB on my guitar symbolically.

Not my favorite, but clearly the best.

When I was younger, Jimi Hendrix was my top player. I think Jeff Beck was in awe of him and was taken back. Now, years later, Emotion and Commotion, and Jeff Beck's Guitar Shop are my two favorite albums of his. I like his earlier stuff too, but these have hard charging songs as well as beautiful, slow melodic passages. The emotion he expresses with the whammy bar is second to none, almost sounds like a Theremin on some tunes. May you rest in peace and continue on in your journey. Small blocks and Hemi's rule my brother!!!

3 min mark, I love Beck when he "takes off" with crazy insane sonic onslaughts -- sort of like an audio alien invasion. No scales or rules, just wild expression -- this and his technique truly set him apart in rock's lexicon. RIP Jeff.

Perfectly described!

One of the greatest Jeff Beck songs ever. Epic performance and beautiful melody.
