Don't Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes
Perry Como Lyrics

Don't let the stars get in your eyes
Don't let the moon break your heart
Love blooms at night
In daylight it dies
Don't let the stars get in your eyes
Or keep your heart from me
For some day I'll return
And you know you're the only one I'll ever love

Too many nights (too many nights)
Too many stars (too many stars)
Too many moons could change your mind
(Don't let the moon change your mind)
If I'm gone too long don't forget where you belong
When the stars come out remember you are mine

Don't let the stars get in your eyes
Don't let the moon break your heart
Love blooms at night
In daylight it dies
Don't let the stars get in your eyes
Or keep your heart from me
For some day I'll return
And you know you're the only one I'll ever love

(Don't let the stars get in your eyes)
(Don't let the moon break your heart)

Too many miles (too many miles)
Too many days (too many days)
Too many nights too be alone
(Too many night all alone)
Oh, please keep your heart while we are apart
Dontcha linger in the moonlight when I'm gone
(While I'm gone)

Don't let the stars get in your eyes
Don't let the moon break your heart
(Don't let the moon break your heart)
Love blooms at night
In daylight it dies
Don't let the stars get in your eyes
Or keep your heart from me
For some day I'll return
And you know your the only one I'll ever love
(I'll ever love)
I'll ever love

You're the only one (you're the only one)
I'll ever love

As a five year old my mother let me play this on the record player... I would stare at the album cover for hours as I was in love with Perry Como... as an adult I married someone who looked just like him... !!!

@Ann Pommer I lost both mother and father, 4 brothers and 3 sisters many years ago. Losing my wife of 56 years was the hardest, Thankfully, I have my 2 sons and my grandchildren. As time passes it does get easier It's hardest when I'm home alone. Thank you for caring!

@clarence fender My Heart goes Out to You.
I Pray that You're gently Healing & taking Good Care of Yourself. I don't know if this makes sense, but SOMEONE Told me that it doesn't get Better, but It Gets Different. My Dad passed 10 years ago & my Mom 12 years. I Think of Them Every Day. But, it's not a constant pain Anymore. I sometimes Wish They were Here. Then I think of GOD'S WORD. I Believe THEY're no longer in pain or feeling LOST.
I like to listen to the Music; Their Music and Remember Mom singing & Dad giving Her A Hug and A Kiss
Take Care Clarence & Check in Now And Then if You Want.

My wife and I were married Oct. 15, 1955. She passed away in Sept. 2011. We liked this song, also.

Thank You for Your Memories.
Sometimes when I feel as an Orphan; I Pray. HE'S ALWAYS THERE FOR US. In JESUS Name I 🙏. AMEN

This song by Perry Como takes me back down memory lane to the time when my new fiance and I were temporarily separated by 3 years RAF service. I was demobbed in 1956 and we married in August of that year. This year we will be celebrating our diamond wedding, (God Willing). Thank you for such a nostalgic experience. We are still madly in love after 60 years.XX
