This song was the "808 State" of that era. Once you heard it, it changed everything. Italo Disco we called it, or Progressive in Detroit. Disco Circus was always the closing song played at college parties. The fraternities would use this song to "Walk Down" their parties in the early 80's. This song influence a lot of us to get into DJ'ing. Just a breathtaking classic that will live forever :)

It is 1:44 in the morning and I had to wake my wife up to let her know I FINALLY found this song!!!!! I've been looking for this song since I first heard it and couldn't find it. I knew how the tune went, and hummed/sang it for hundreds of people, and no one knew who it was! Going to record shops, asking DJ's, coworkers and strangers and either they didn't know or knew it, but didn't know who made it. Fast forward to the advent of youtube. Going thru hundreds of songs, finding some old gems, but not THIS song! SO what I did was just randomly pick songs from around this era, and hoped to find it and now I have it! Can you just imagine searching for something for over 30 yrs, and just randomly happen to find it?! I thought that I would go to my grave and not ever find it, but now I have it! THis is like hitting the lottery, having great sex, and having the Yankees, Raiders, Celtics and Islanders win a championship all in the same year!!!!! Anyone who experienced Dave Mancuso’s “LOFT” in NYC back in the time this was released knows that is track was the anthem. This particular composition expressed the energy and essence of what the Loft was back in the late 70’s and 80’s. If you had witnessed the dancers get off on this especially, Downstairs. It starts off with the syndrums in the beginning and then almost goes into a little break , if I recall....... gosh it's been so long since I've heard it....... mostly @ the LOFT and maybe a few other places.......not too many DJ's had it and just about every time I went to Prelude records I asked about it...... hey Francois I'm still waiting......👁️👁️

These were the PIONEERS of the Legendary NYC radio station 92 WKTU fm aka Disco 92 that brought you all this and much much more during the Friday & Saturday nights in NYC during the late 70's and early 80's. I really learned to mix with this record. I F'd around with a bunch of songs before, but Disco Circus has so many breaks and cool deep breaks that even a newbie could make a remix of this. Great track and owning a couple of copies back in the day could make your set. Ground breaking track and maybe the beginning of House Music.

WOW! A disco classic I never, ever get tired of listening to at all. Brings back so many good memories (I personally don't like the remix at all). It's a shame that online music stores do not carry the full 14-minute version at all (I guess it's due to either copyright issues or licensing issues, I don't know) - they scaled it down to 6:17, which is very crappy.

An underrated french band, their best records still aren't available on CD. They made Progressive rock in the late 60's and early 70's, Pop music from 1974 to 1977, (their best period from my point of view with 4 fantastic LP's) and disco music in 1977 like almost any artist at the time, and they stopped in the early 80's. They made a brief come back 20 years later with an amazing cover from a french metal band, probably their best recording ever : https://youtu.be/5d5TdHNB3W8 . Lead singer who also had a solo career passed away long time ago, R.I.P. Gérard Blanc.

I remember listening to WBMX Saturday night live ain't no jive Chicago dance party 102.7. I used to fall asleep listening to the mixes back in 1981 and this song was my first introduction to disco mixes before house music was born in Chicago. Thanks New York for giving us disco!!! Newark, NJ, Summer 1980! In high school, living at 440 Elizabeth Ave, across from Weequahic Park. On a Saturday night someone would go upstairs and put it on their turntable and place the speaker on the balcony and crank it up, so everyone downstairs could hear it! My dad said to me that my generation was the last of a great run. The magic would end in my time. I didn't want to believe him because he's always right. He and my mom met at the original palladium. At least I didn't disappoint them. Yeah buddy!

This was stable track in Chicago night clubs you had to play it --Bus Stop Time---that was the dance !!!!!! I was a Dee-Jay named Killer Joe. We played this track at EL Matador on 75st and Wabash during that time period. 1980 it was on !!!!!!!!!!The Big Sound of my JBL's would make the place rock from wall to wall. Great times !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great Music Track !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

+skfj67 thjat is true I team up K151 JBL 18'' and dual Crewin Vega's dual 18''' and JBL 2482 drivers ---horns with the wooden no ring horns by JBL power by 6 -500 watts RMS Crest Power Amps --i wanted to pump my sound like no other Dee-jay back in the day in Chicago It was another great dee jay as well his name was Dee-Jay Frenchie he was the competition at that time in the El Matador Club in Chicago. It was a team of 12 working guys Sound Master INC that loved music not deep pockets at all. It was like building a fast funny race car for the track back then. It was a just different times when men love their sound system than a brand new car or spent all the money on the ladies taken them out. Most of the guys in organization had ladies that truly support our goals and one was a Dee-Jay Named Big Beverly Dorsey who was one of the best under a microphone. And know some Dee-Jays like (Sugar Bear Big Henry) guys are still with those ladies today in 2016. My friend I do remember the Bose 901 speakers at that time Pacific Stereo and Musicraft was the selling them they great for home use only not the club scene. As far as speaker JBL and Crewin Vega was the hot one's to deliver that punch that would knock you off your feet in a three way sytem.
