I am 39 now. My parents were the first who introduced Los Indios when I was a child. Everytime when we have a vacation at the beach, we would pull up a lazy chair, face it towards the sea and play all of Los Indios instrumentals over and over again...infact we sleep so peacefully...WOW! My first job after high school was waiter in a Chinese restaurant. This was the ONLY music cassette that restaurant had( year 1971) and it played from 10am till 10pm each day. It has become part of my life,I now have a CD in my car.

Avevo 10-11 anni, ed ero profondamente invaghito da questa novità "tekno" (si direbbe oggi) apparsa al principale bar-spiaggia di Tonfano, dove eravamo al mare: il juke-box, che trascinato dalla musica potevo contemplare per ore.
Il cambio-dischi era un lento spettacolo sacramentale.
Amavo Carosone ("Guaglione", "Tu vuo' fà l'americano", e appunto "Io, mammeta e tu") , Gianni Meccia ("Il barattolo") e perfino Tony Dallara. Non conoscevo ancora Bindi, Paoli, Mina, Endrigo, De André, e Françoise Hardy era ancora di là da venire.

E quello che mi apriva il cuore era questo brano solo strumentale
(senza video ovviamente)

Che esistesse anche per me una Maria Elena morbida e tenera come il suono vellutato e avvolgente di questi Indios era il mio sogno.
