My Kind of Woman
Mac DeMarco Lyrics

Oh, man
You're makin' me crazy
Really drivin' me mad
That's alright with me
It's really no fuss
As long as you're next to me
Just the two of us
You're my, my, my, my kind of woman
My, oh my, what a girl
You're my, my, my, my kind of woman
And I'm down on my hands and knees
Beggin' you please, baby
Show me your world
Oh, brother
Sweetheart
I'm feelin' so tired
Really fallin' apart
And it just don't make sense to me
I really don't know
Why you stick right next to me
Wherever I go
You're my, my, my, my kind of woman
My, oh my, what a girl
You're my, my, my, my kind of woman
And I'm down on my hands and knees
Beggin' you please, baby
Show me your world
The lyrics of Mac DeMarco's song My Kind of Woman is a sweet and romantic tribute to the singer's significant other. The song expresses the infatuation and love that Mac feels for this woman, making him feel crazy and driving him mad in the best way possible. However, the lyrics do not just stop there as Mac expresses his satisfaction of being around her, regardless of the circumstances, and that everything's vice as long as they are together.
The chorus, “You're my, my, my, my kind of woman. My, oh, my, what a girl” establishes a somewhat possessive admiration to his partner. The use of repetition in the chorus emphasizes the singer's love for her, while the line “Beggin' you please, baby, Show me your world” signifies Mac DeMarco's willingness to learn and experience more than what he knows and become more involved with his lover's interests.
Overall, Mac DeMarco's My Kind of Woman is a perfect example of a song that captures the essence of love and affection. Its whimsical and playful melody combined with heartfelt lyrics evoke emotions of nostalgia and warmness- love that inspires wanting to learn more about the other person, accepting their eccentricities, and enjoying their company.

I am currently scrolling through this comments crying over everyone's connections to this song so I thought I might share mine .
I am currently going through a rough time . I am really struggling with my mental health and whenever this song comes on I can't help but shed a tear . I got broken up with by someone who I was a little bit scared of (complicated story) and I ruined that whole relationship because my ex (who I am very close with) and another guy wanted to be with me and I wanted to be with them . This song was played to me by my ex (the one im close with) and he says he used to think of me whenever it came on because i was his kind of woman . But he's moving on and with that I've been telling myself that I need to move on too , but its a struggle . I am no longer his kind of woman . And thats alright with me . I keep telling myself to get over it but no one understands that this boy was the love of my life . And I'm losing myself as I lose him . But its alright . I keep telling myself I'll be okay .
So this song is my song . This song is the song I will listen to and use to make new memories , to finally becoming my kind of woman not anyone elses .
I am going to reach out for help so I don't hurt myself anymore and I will hopefully be able to heal from the habits I've picked up and I'll stop crying myself to sleep . Nothing ever lasts forever and I'm finally learning that . I can't hold onto the past if I want to see the future .
I wanna be my kind of woman <3

I honestly believe that if Mac was around in the late 60s and 70s and released this song he would've been a music legend that fit perfectly into the era
@yasmine9335
Hes currently a legend
@Dr-Pepper15
@@yasmine9335 Not wrong either but back then if he dropped this I believe it would be just as iconic as California Dreamin was something that fit perfectly in the era and ages like wine

I still can't believe that his songs aren't from the 70s or 80s. I always get such a nostalgic feeling when I listen to his songs.
@nclsrfn
Yeah I agree, it's a legit masterpiece of a song.
