Coro Miyar
Fania All Stars Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Fania All-Stars' song Coro Miyare delve deep into the struggles of working in a religious community. The opening line "Que dificil es trabajar... en la villa del señor" translates to "How difficult it is to work in the Lord's village" and captures the theme of the song. The following lines "Porque no queremos someternos al llamado de su voz" meaning "Because we do not want to submit to His call" explore the internal conflicts and the resistance to the call of faith which is not uncommon in many spiritual communities.

There is only one word to describe Johnny Pacheco. Brilliant. There wouldn't have been no Fania era if it wasn't for him. Fania all stars was a mix band of great musician who Johnny Pacheco put together and did a great job in bringing out the best in Latin music. Este hombre es SALSA.
