Frontline
Pillar Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

It's not like I'm walking alone into the valley of the shadow of death
Stand beside one another, 'cause it ain't over yet
I'd be willing to bet that if we don't back down
You and I will be the ones that are holding the Crown in the end
When it's over, we can say, "Well done"
But not yet, 'cause it's only begun
So, pick up, and follow me, we're the only ones
To fight this thing, until we've won
We drive on and don't look back
It doesn't mean we can't learn from our past
All the things that we mighta done wrong
We could've been doing this all along

Everybody, with your fists raised high
Let me hear your battle cry tonight
Stand beside, or step aside
We're on the frontline

And we'll be carrying on, until the day it doesn't matter anymore
Step aside, you forgot what this is for
We fight to live, we live to fight
And tonight, you'll hear my battle cry
We live our lives on the frontlines
We're not afraid of the fast times
These days have opened up my eyes
And now, I see where the threat lies

We've got to lead the way

Read Isaiah chapter 40 at least once a day. After a while, the truth will penetrate. Also read Romans 6 through 8. Remember to come to him in the affliction instead of waiting until things get better.

Come to me all you who ARE weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest.

Blessed are the poor in spirit for they shall be comforted.

He prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

The Prodigal Son came home in his affliction, not waiting until he got better. He also came home not expecting much but when he arrived, there was the celebration.
The affliction gives God something to work with.
"He gives power to the faint and to those who have no might, He increases strength"
"My grace is sufficient for My strength is made perfect in weakness"

The following is from a devotional written as though it's Jesus talking...

"Bring me all your feelings, even the ones you wish you didn't have. Fear and anxiety still plague you. Feelings per se are not sinful, but they can be temptations to sin. Blazing missiles of fear fly at you day and night. These attacks from the evil one come at you relentlessly. Use your Shield of Faith to extinguish those flaming arrows. Affirm your trust in Me regardless of how you feel. If you persist, your feelings will eventually fall in line with your faith. Do not hide your fear or pretend it isn't there. Anxiety that you hide in the recesses of your heart will give birth to fear of fear. Bring your anxieties out into the light of My presence, where we can deal with them together. Concentrate on trusting me, and fearfulness will gradually lose its foothold within you"

Ephesians 6:16
1 John 1:5-7
Isaiah 12:2

Criminally underrated. I’ll never forgive the world for denying this band

@NZchurrbro

its because their other albums suck, and no one wants to listen to gospel music. because gospel music is trash.

@shitheadbrad6068

I mean, we should forgive no matter what despite how messed up the world has done to us in many ways. As Jesus forgave every single one of us since the day he died, then we should have the ability to forgive as well. Read Mark 11:25-26 whenever you have the chance if you wanna learn more on how to forgive my friend.
