I LOVE Ella! She is the BEST! So, please don't get me wrong! But this version is weirdly long & slower & the arrangement on the melody is not necessarily to bring the beauty of the song.Many find it too difficult to sing this way ( it's not really , though), but rather unnecessary! But of course ,Ella did a great job.But if just speaking of showcasing her ability , or 1930's? style, then did the purpose & justice , but from musicality perspectives , I love Billy holiday catchy version of this song( the best of Cole porter ? CD version .Catchy one).Too much vibrato & holding notes way too long are not my favorite things to do, or listen( though I can sing this way ), & found it unattractive. I love Ella , though ! I really do! And I was very very lucky to see her performance w/ Louie Armstrong !They were simply the very best! Still they are to this day !!!
