Who Loves The Sun
The Velvet Underground Lyrics

Who loves the sun
Who cares that it makes plants grow
Who cares what it does
Since you broke my heart

Who loves the wind
Who cares that it makes breezes
Who cares what it does
Since you broke my heart

Pa Pa Pa Pa
Who loves the sun
Pa Pa Pa Pa
Who loves the sun
Pa Pa Pa Pa
Not everyone
Pa Pa Pa Pa
Who loves the sun

Who loves the rain
Who cares that it makes flowers
Who cares that it makes showers
Since you broke my heart

Who loves the sun
Who cares that it is shining
Who cares what it does
Since you broke my heart

Pa Pa Pa Pa
Who loves the sun
Pa Pa Pa Pa
Who loves the sun
Pa Pa Pa Pa
Not everyone
Pa Pa Pa Pa
Who loves the sun
Sun
Sun
Sun

Pa Pa Pa Pa
Who loves the sun
Pa Pa Pa Pa
Who loves the sun
Pa Pa Pa Pa
Not just anyone

This song feels like a ray of early morning sunshine on your face.

Such a strong Beatles vibe.

Most people I've noticed who don't like the Beatles have only heard their hits

William Berry

@Blake McNamara Well the Strokes will always be my favourite band of all time so i agree with you on that one. Buts lets just agree to disagree on VU

Blake McNamara

@William Berry I disagree. I think that The Strokes are better than Lou Reed and I still put them under The Beatles. They were so much more musically-complex than The Velvet Underground and did a lot more innovative things. The Velvet Underground were just trying to be ironic or something.

William Berry

@Blake McNamara in terms of sounding like the Beatles this might be the closest he came sure. But most songs of the Velvet Underground and Nico and a number of tracks off Transformer is better than the best Beatles songs. I like the Beatles, but Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground made better music

Blake McNamara

@William Berry That's ridiculous. This song was the closest he ever came to The Beatles or The Rolling Stones. The guy had a few good tunes but that was it.

I just can't ignore the fact that he sounds a lot like George Harrison and no one seems to notice

Not one bit.

@Hal Lou Reed was bisexual

@corey wiley It's just that there are aspects that are very Intrusive about the point of view that I have set out. First, the very structure of the song that you were talking about, and second and third, that VU didn't do anything for nothing (as Sterling said) and by themselves they were quite radical nihilists, especially Lou, who and wrote the lyrics, so this message could very likely be true
