I'll Supply The Love
Toto Lyrics

I'll supply the love
You supply the night, baby
I'll supply the love
I see a horseman in the sky
It makes me turn and wonder why
I hear the same old fourteen reasons
Must be the changin' of the seasons
You supply the night, baby
I'll supply the love
You supply the night, baby
I'll supply the love
I met the girl across the sea
She saved my life and came with me
A tender night of dark persuasion
Could be the first and last occasion
You supply the night, baby
I'll supply the love (I'll supply the love)
You supply the night, baby
I'll supply the love
You supply the night, baby
I'll supply the love
You supply the night, baby
I'll supply the love (I'll supply the love)
You supply the night, baby
I'll supply the love (I'll supply the love)
You supply the night, baby
I'll supply the love (I'll supply the love)
Baby, I'll supply the love (I'll supply the love)
Baby, I'll supply the (I'll supply the love)
I'll supply the love
The lyrics of the song "I'll Supply The Love" by Toto talks about a man who is willing to be there for his significant other no matter what. He is willing to provide the love and support that she needs while she supplies the excitement and adventure in their relationship. The chorus in the song emphasizes this, as Toto sings "You supply the night, baby, I'll supply the love".
The verse "I see a horseman in the sky, it makes me turn and wonder why. I hear the same old fourteen reasons, must be the changin' of the seasons" could suggest that the man is going through a time of change and reflection, and he is unsure about why things are happening around him. The horseman in the sky could symbolize something coming towards him, or even a sense of danger, which would be the reason why he is turning and wondering why.
The verse "I met the girl across the sea. She saved my life and came with me. A tender night of dark persuasion could be my first and last occasion" depicts a past love in the man's life who has helped him through a difficult situation. "A tender night of dark persuasion" could imply that their relationship may have started out in a risky or unexpected way, but the man cherishes the memory of that night because it could be his only chance at such an experience.

Have you noticed your neighbors getting triple paned windows?
I like the song - very memorable from the first time I encountered it on MTV in the early 80s. But if you didn’t actually live thru the 70’s or 80’s, this song is not going to resonate…have to forgive people for not quite feeling this one…
Ps - love songs like this that transform into a completely different theme in the outro (eg Layla, My Sharona) - very gutsy…

I'm a heavy metal rocker from way back, and I know people say Toto is too pop with overly simplistic lyrics, but who cares? Talent is talent and these guys reek of it. Rockin'!

Bobby Kimball had one of the best voices out there...I love how he could hit those high notes and in my opinion this is the best Toto song and really shows Bobby's singing talent.
