artpop
Art pop (also typeset as art-pop or artpop) is a loosely defined style of pop music[1] influenced by pop art's integration of high and low culture, and which emphasizes the manipulation of signs, style, and gesture over personal expression.[6][7] Art pop artists may be inspired by postmodern approaches or art theories[6] as well as other forms of art, such as fashion, fine art, cinema, and avant-garde literature. [3][8] They may deviate from traditional pop audiences and rock music conventions,[9] instead exploring ideas such as pop's status as commercial art, notions of artifice and the self, and questions of historical authenticity.[6]
Starting in the mid 1960s, British and American pop musicians such as Brian Wilson, Phil Spector, and the Beatles began incorporating the ideas of the pop art movement into their recordings.[1] English art pop musicians drew from their art school studies,[8] while in America the style drew on the influence of pop artist Andy Warhol and affiliated band the Velvet Underground,[10] and also intersected with folk music's singer-songwriter movement.[1] The style would experience its "golden age" in the 1970s among glam rock artists such as David Bowie and Roxy Music, who embraced theatricality and throwaway pop culture.[11]

Lady Gaga Lyrics
I stand here waiting for you to bang the gong
To crash the critics saying, "is it right or is it wrong?"
If only fame had an IV, baby could I bear
Being away from you, I found the vein, put it in here
I live for the applause, applause, applause
I live for the applause-plause, live for the applause-plause
Live for the way that you cheer and scream for me
The applause, applause, applause
Give me that thing that I love (Turn the lights on)
Put your hands up, make 'em touch, touch (Make it real loud)
Give me that thing that I love (Turn the lights on)
Put your hands up, make 'em touch, touch (Make it real loud)
(A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E) Make it real loud
Put your hands up, make 'em touch, touch
(A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E) Make it real loud
Put your hands up, make 'em touch, touch
I've overheard your theory
"Nostalgia's for geeks"
I guess sir, if you say so
Some of us just like to read
One second I'm a kunst
Then suddenly the kunst is me
Pop culture was in art
Now, art's in pop culture in me
I live for the applause, applause, applause
Ooh touch, touch ooh
Touch, touch now ooh ooh ooh ooh
I live for the applause, applause, applause
I live for the applause-plause, live for the applause-plause
Live for the way that you cheer and scream for me
The applause, applause, applause
Give me that thing that I love (Turn the lights on)
Put your hands up, make 'em touch, touch (Make it real loud)

I’m normally a metalhead, listening to completely different kind of music, but one just can’t ignore her and the fact that she a visionary. Can’t stop listening. Great song, and the video is just next level.

Same, always listening to rock/metal/punk yet her music is just too well composed to ignore!

Kinda the same. I always wanted a metal version of this. It would sound good with chugging guitars in replacement of the synths. Instead I ended up making a drum and bass remix (but kept with the chugging guitars). But I still wish I did a metal version using the acapella. Lady GaGa's music is really aggressive for pop music.
the cool nice guy🎩
Honestly Lady Gaga, Madonna and Britney Spears are superior in pop music
Queen Alex
I remember when people saw her as the singer who did weird shi in her music videos but now look at her. ❤️

lady gaga is an example how we should never care what others think of us and just be unapologetically ourselves
