Honey Bunny
Girls Lyrics
I know you're out there
You might be right around the corner
And you'll be the girl that I love
No one could take you
No other man can make you an offer
'Cause I'll be the one that you want (always)
I've been messing with so many girls
Who could give a damn about who I am
They don't like my boney body
They don't like my dirty hair
Or the stuff that I say
Or the stuff that I'm on
I'm gonna get you honey
I know you're somewhere
And nothing's ever gonna phase me
You'll look at me and know I'm the one
And you will love me
For all the reasons everyone hates me
And we can do whatever we want (always)
I've been messing with so many girls
Who could give a damn about who I am
They don't like my boney body
They don't like my dirty hair
Or the stuff that I say
Or the stuff that I'm on
Mama, she really loved me
Even when I was bad
She'd hold my little hand
And kiss me on the cheek
And when I cried
She would hold me closely
And tell me "everything will be alright"
That woman loved me;
I need a woman who loves
Me, me me me me me (yeah)
I know you're out there
You might be right around the corner
And you'll be the girl that I love
And you'll be the girl that I love
And you'll be the girl that I love
And you'll be the girl that I love

Yup, that. And the bad luck of in-out members of the band. Album was listed on Billboard's Top 100, so was Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Even the original lineup (which consisted of Chrissybaby, JR, John Anderson and Garett Godard) was better.
The scale of music they did was insurmountable. Chrissy is a very good singer songwriter, John Anderson was a brilliant guitarist (form of phrasing, etc), Godard was a tight drummer and JR was a tight bassist and a producer.
Shame, this band had a lot of potential, but (as far as internet articles say) the involvement of drugs and other circumstances fucked over the original lineup.
John Anderson was actually playing the guitar on Chrissy's album A New Testament, and are still friends today.
Also, in case you didn't know, Chrissy was very good friends with Ariel Pink and Matt Fishbeck (they formed the band Holy Shit which Chrissy joined at some point). According to Chrissy's twitter, he lives a nomadic lifestyle.
Cheers to you, props for still listening to their music.

RIP Chet "JR" White...

By far the most underrated band of the 10's, if not the century.

They don't like my boney body. They don't like my dirty hair. These lyrics are always stuck in my head.

RIP CHET. This one is hitting me really hard. I cant believe it. I'm still processing it. I love you Christopher. We're here for you.

The part where it gets slow and he says "everything will be alright" gives me chills. Its so raw and emotional right in the middle of an upbeat song. Every time Chris says that I can feel the pain.

Does no one notice the awesome Deathly Hallows necklace he's wearing? God, I love Chris Owens more and more everyday.
