The attitude of doing right

You need to focus on the good things

E-lim-i-nate the negative
Get rid of the bad things

And latch on to the affirmative
Hold onto the good things tightly

Don't mess with mister inbetween
Don't be indecisive or uncertain

You got to spread joy up to the maximum
You need to try to spread as much happiness as possible

Bring gloom down to the minimum
Reduce any sadness or negativity as much as possible

And have faith, or pandemonium
Believe in the goodness of the situation, or chaos will happen

Liable to walk upon the scene
Things could go wrong if you don't believe in the good outcome

What did they do, just when everything looked so dark?
What did they do when things were difficult and there seemed to be no hope?

They decided that they should
