"Shut Down" is a track off BLACKPINK's 2021 first-ever studio album titled "THE ALBUM". It is a high tempo Hip-Hop and R&B track that features Lisa, Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo each delivering their verses in both Korean and English. The track is essentially about flaunting their power and shutting down their detractors. The song's intro starts with a repetitive "BLACKPINK in your area, eh-oh" chant, and immediately after, a throbbing kick-drum initiates a commanding yet playful vibe.
