when I was young and (very) stupid I payed too much attention to the superb singers Cynthia Rhodes & Paul Engemann instead of focusing on the song's tempo (generally tempo is more important than who has better voice).
you can't blame me for that (means you can!) 'cause I was dazzled...the harmony they had together, doing such a catchy song, very danceable, add to all those facts the film

once I realized the meaning of those two connected words,
the ugly chick became a beautiful swan (TOP listener) :-)

Best version of the song hands down. The album Everything is an 80's classic and was one I heard my family playing all the time. This song always stood out for me from the album. Weakest track, the damn hip hop mix of Rise To The Occasion
