Fable
Robert Miles Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Tell me your fable
A fable...

Tell me your fable...
Tell me your fable
Tell me your fable...
A fable...
Tell me your fable...

Talk to me, tenderly
Show reality fantasy,
We'll bound together
All win in one feat

Talk to me, tenderly
Show reality fantasy,
We'll bound together
All win in one feat

Ooh...Ahh..

Ooh...Ahh...

The fable...
The fable...
Ahh...

The fable...
The fable...
Tell me your fable...

Tell me your fable
A fable
A fable
A fable that will never end
And now, I dream
Dream
Dream

Ooh...Ahh...

Ooh...Ahh...

Doo...Dooh...Ahh...

Doo...Dooh...Ahh...

Ooh...Ahh...

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of the song Fable by Robert Miles revolve around the idea of storytelling and the power of imagination. The repeated phrase "Tell me your fable" invites the listener to share their own personal narrative, their own story. The singer encourages the audience to share their reality, their experiences, and their fantasies. The line "Show reality fantasy" suggests a desire for a blending of both the real and the imagined, as if to say that our stories and histories cannot be fully understood without a touch of creativity and fantasy.

The idea of unity and victory also plays a role in the song. The lines "We'll bound together all win in one feat" suggest that by sharing our stories and combining our efforts, we can achieve great things. The repetition of "The fable" and "A fable" creates a sense of continuity, as if the stories we tell ourselves and each other are never truly finished.

Overall, the lyrics of Fable encourage us to open up and share our stories with one another, in order to better understand ourselves and the world around us.

I last heard this in 1997 while watching TV. All these years this tune was in my mind but didn't know its name. Tried to search on SoundCloud and Shazam but to no avail. One fine day, god was merciful and here i am ❤️ Thank you Robert Miles for this masterpiece.

I can totally relate! I had no idea who this was until 2014, despite hearing it everywhere in the mid 90s!

Same bro for years I have a small memory of listening to this in a car trip I did with my dad... For some reason youtube played RObert niles children, and I searches his name and this came up.. My mind has now new space for other stuff holy cow

@mysticwolf75

@MRnobody I bought all 4 of his albums since. The first 2 (Dreamland and 23am) are my favorites. Organik is probably my least favorite, too experimental for my tastes, and Thirteen is pretty good in its own way.
