@Rogelio Mora
im here a year later to say that you're wrong.
the officers would have had the "right" to just forcefully gain entry to the house, but instead knocked and announced themselves.

the guy started to shoot at the officers through the door, hitting one of them in the leg, but in a place where an artery is, meaning he could have died. The officers returned fire, killing the girl who was near the guy.

He was responsible for killing her. He thought it was a good idea to shoot at Police, his girlfriend paid the price. they had the "right" to arrest him, as he was a violent criminal who had objectively broken the law. people like him is why we need police in the first place. if he had just surrendered himself to the police and taken responsibility for his actions, the girl would still be alive.

and that was (and will be again in the future) the problem with BLM. They claim instances of police brutality or racially motivated attacks that later
turn out to be nothing but lies - but nobody actually gets told the update. they spread misinformation and fuel racial division, just another part of the cancer that is rotting away America.eaas

dont trust them. they are grifters, and they dont care about you. if the systemic issues are to be fixed, America needs a movement that is racially diverse and actually wants to heal America's racial divide, not perpetuate it.

@Bluelit "if he was black he woulda sold half"
Yeah, that's just as much BS coming from you as it is when it comes from him. I know you guys never get tired of condescending to black people, but damn...
If you think black rap and hip-hop artists were suffering in some corner before Eminem, you're completely detached from reality.
I guess Run-DMC, Will Smith, Salt-n-Pepa, LL, NWA, Public Enemy, Tone Loc, Dre, Snoop, etc etc etc never got all those platinum and gold albums and singles?
White kids were all over it like Marshall Blathers on a bottle of pills. Most kids'parents were thankful they weren't into heavy metal, worshiping Satan and sacrificing babies, in the late eighties and early nineties. Rap was mostly seen as relatively inoffensive in most regards, unless parents got an earful of 2 Live Crew, or NWA's profanity, and even then it was no contest for which they'd prefer to have their kids listening to.

In fact, the group that probably got some of the biggest pushback were White (well, Jewish, but close enough)-- the Beastie Boys. When "License to Ill" hit, parents s--t their pants. But again, they were at least a little grateful that Eric & Erica weren't having orgies in the graveyard and burning churches. Even the whole G-Funk thing didn't get as much pushback as it could have, because parents usually didn't catch the references to a lot of the stuff in the lyrics, and even if they did, it was just smoking a little weed and sipping gin. And of course, just like today (only to a lesser degree) blacks were protected by the fact that nobody wanted to be seen as racist. .. that, and the same soft prejudice of low expectations that you (and almost everyone elsethese days) exhibit.. "Well, at least they're not going all Black Panther-y, or robbing everyone and selling crack... Smoking reefer and making videos with half-naked women isn't so bad, considering ” seemed to be the underlying idea with some parents, in my experience.

Anyway, I've rambled too long (damn you Adderall) just to say that "woulda sold half" is BS, and so is the whole idea of "White privilege", especially when it comes to entertainment, and especially especially when it comes to rap/hip-hop.

Trip Drums

I never would've dreamed in a million years I'd see
So many motherfuckin' people who feel like me
Who share the same views and the same exact beliefs
It's like a fuckin' army marchin' in back of me
So many lives I touch, so much anger aimed
In no particular direction
Just sprays and sprays
And straight through your radio waves it plays and plays
'Til it stays stuck in your head for days and days
Who woulda thought
Standing in this mirror bleachin' my hair, with some peroxide
Reachin' for a t-shirt to wear
That I would catapult to the forefront of rap like this?
How could I predict my words would have an impact like this
I must've struck a chord, with somebody up in the office
Cause Congress keeps telling me I ain't causin' nothin' but problems
And now they're sayin' I'm in trouble with the government
I'm lovin' it, I shoveled shit all my life, and now I'm dumping it on

White America!
I could be one of your kids
White America!
Little Eric looks just like this
White America!
Erica loves my shit
I go to T-R-L, look how many hugs I get
White America!
I Could be one of your kids
White America!
Little Eric looks just like this
White America!
Erica loves my shit
I go to T-R-L, look how many hugs I get

Look at these eyes baby blue baby just like yourself
If they were brown
Shady lose
Shady sits on the shelf
But Shady's cute
Shady knew Shady's dimples would help
Make ladies swoon baby (ooh baby)
Look at myself!
Let's do the math
If I was black I woulda sold half
I ain't have to graduate from Lincoln High School to know that
But I can rap so fuck school
I'm too cool to go back
Gimme the mic
Show me where the fuckin' studios at
When I was underground
No one gave a fuck I was white
No labels wanted to sign me
Almost gave up, I was like "Fuck it"
Until I met Dre
The only one who looked past
Gave me a chance
And I lit a fire up under his ass
Helped him get back to the top
Every fan black that I got
Was probably his in exchange for every white fan that hes got
Like damn we just swapped
Sittin' back look at this shit wow
I'm like "My skin, is it startin' to work to my benefit now?"

White America!
I could be one of your kids
White America!
Little Eric looks just like this
White America!
Erica loves my shit
I go to T-R-L, look how many hugs I get
White America!
I Could be one of your kids
White America!
Little Eric looks just like this
White America!
Erica loves my shit
I go to T-R-L, look how many hugs I get

See the problem is I speak to suburban kids
Who otherwise woulda never knew these words exist
Whose mom's probably woulda never gave two squirts of piss
'Til I created so much muthafuckin' turbulence
Straight out the tube right into ya livin' rooms I came
And kids flipped
When they knew I was produced by Dre
That's all it took
And they were instantly hooked right in
And they connected wit' me too because I looked like them
That's why they put my lyrics up under this microscope
Searchin' wit' a fine toothed comb
It's like this rope waitin' to choke
Tightenin' around my throat
Watchin' me while I write this like
"I dont like this, no!"
All I hear is
Lyrics lyrics constant controversy
Sponsors workin' round the clock
To try to stop my concerts early
Surely hip hop is never a problem
In Harlem only in Boston
After it bothered ya fathers
Of daughters startin' to blossom
Now I'm catchin' the flack from these activists
When they raggin'
Actin' like I'm the first rapper to smack a bitch and say fagot
Shit,
Just look at me like I'm ya closest pal
A poster child
The muthafuckin' spokesman now for

White America!
I could be one of your kids
White America!
Little Eric looks just like this
White America!
Erica loves my shit
I go to T-R-L, look how many hugs I get
White America!
I Could be one of your kids
White America!
Little Eric looks just like this
White America!
Erica loves my shit
I go to T-R-L, look how many hugs I get

So to the parents of America
I am the derringer aimed at little Erica
To attack her character
The ring leader of the circus of worthless pawns
Sent to lead the march right up to the steps of Congress
And piss on the lawns of the White House
To burn the casket and replace it with a parental advisory sticker
To spit liquor in the faces of this democracy of hypocrisy
Fuck you Ms. Cheney
Fuck you tipper Gore
Fuck you with the free-ness of speech this
Divided states of embarrassment will allow me to have
Fuck you!

Ha ha ha! I'm just playin' America, you know I love you

3:37 - THIS is what is a true flow, not fast rapping, but actual rhythm, with words that resonate one with the other and convey an idea . That's the kind of thing (among many others) that made Eminem such a huge influence on hip hop as a whole, specially in his early years. Old Em is untouchable.

Donna Goyette

Hell yea Marshall is the best 👌 🏆 ✌️ 💪

Rusty Hayes

It's not that new em isn't as good as old em. It's that after 2 or more decades as a musician. you've done everything you possibly can to get any better at it. Em cant top himself and that's where this ignorant opinion comes from. Know yourself and why your brain deduces entertainment knowledge and politics the way it does. If you're truly talented as a rapper you can emulate old em with your own perspective in the lyrics. But nobody including em can top it. He wasn't kidding when he said "I'll be one tough act to follow"

Julian Green

I bet i can rise to be better than him in time
