I can appreciate their browner side, but I sometimes forget how good these guys were when they played it straight. This sounds a lot like the Canadian band Sloan (who are of course very Beatlesque in their own right).

I play this song for people and ask "Who does this sound like?" Almost all say The Beatles. And damn it do. These guys got music down packed. This song is incredibly memorable and catchy, and the WHOLE White Pepper album is pure goodness from beginning to its all too soon end, one of their best. Love...LOVE this band again and again! :-)
