White Winter Hymnal
Fleet Foxes Lyrics

I was following the, I was following the
I was following the, I was following the
I was following the, I was following the
I was following the, I was following the

I was following the pack, all swallowed in their coats
With scarves of red tied 'round their throats
To keep their little heads from falling in the snow
And I turned 'round and there you go
And Michael, you would fall and turn the white snow red
As strawberries in the summertime

I was following the pack, all swallowed in their coats
With scarves of red tied 'round their throats
To keep their little heads from falling in the snow
And I turned 'round and there you go
And Michael, you would fall and turn the white snow red
As strawberries in the summertime

I was following the pack, all swallowed in their coats
With scarves of red tied 'round their throats
To keep their little heads from falling in the snow
And I turned 'round and there you go
And Michael, you would fall and turn the white snow red
As strawberries in summertime

I was following the
I was following the pack
All swallowed in their coats
With scarves of red tied 'round their throats
To keep their little heads
From fallin' in the snow
And I turned 'round and there you go
And, Michael, you would fall
And turn the white snow red as strawberries
In the summertime
I was following the pack
All swallowed in their coats
With scarves of red tied 'round their throats
To keep their little heads
From fallin' in the snow
And I turned 'round and there you go
And, Michael, you would fall
And turn the white snow red as strawberries
In the summertime
I was following the pack
All swallowed in their coats
With scarves of red tied 'round their throats
To keep their little heads
From fallin' in the snow
And I turned 'round and there you go
And, Michael, you would fall
And turn the white snow red as strawberries
In the summertime

Number 1, who is even saying that? Unless you're looking at newest comments or something, then I don't see it ( unless I'm just not looking hard enough, which probably is the case-- ). Most of the comments here are crapping on Pentatonix.

Number 2, some of these comments are honestly bullcrap. Stop pissing on PTX; stop pissing on FF. They both are equally good. You FF fans who are like "pTx iS aCtuAlLy tErRibLe aNd tHeY dOnT dEsErVe tHeIr vIeWs" are sooooo ignorant it's unreal. And you PTX fans who are like "tHiS iS sO bAd cOmPaReD tO pTx. pTx iS gOd" are acting like snobs.

Both of you guys chill out. Stop acting like literal babies. You are entitled to your own opinion, but when you specifically target someone or some group for something they can't control, it's not cool.

I forgot this song - ty - this should be an official Christmas song

Laura M

Not a Christmas song. It's about the loss of his childhood friend(s) who suddenly changed.

Robbie Schertz

This song is about a child cracking his head open while sledding

DavidHokeyHoke

@The Fakey Cake Maker no, it belongs to whoever wrote it. You can keep your warped understanding of it however you like but it will never be yours.

Shawna Marie Bloom

Sounds more like a song describing war in the winter time. Too macabre for a Christmas song.

Daphadil Liutbrundt

@Stalker Pers0n the lyrics are actually fairly meaningless, that’s what the leader of the band said. Though there is a story behind all the songs, it’s just meant to be an introduction. Though I have heard rumors about it talking about the French Revolution, “All swallowed in their coats” referring to the puffy coats they wore, but it might have been a specific time, most likely the Russian invasion. That would explain “And I turn round and there you go and Micheal you would fall” as of it could be the perspective of a soldier watching others die around them. It would also relate to the colour, as they explained it being the colour of strawberries which was what French used to be most known for.

Edit: would also explain the red scarves “With scarves of red tied 'round their throats, To keep their little heads from fallin' in the snow” which would be talking about how they were forced to wear red scarves as of not to be killed. But, then again, most this information was found on the internet so it may not be true.
