“We made a movie called youth, the title is WINNER.” i can still remember how badly i cried when i heard yoon said this in the concert.
honestly i can’t imagine my youth without these four adorable dorks. sometimes i wonder how it would have been, i guess it would be empty. it is amazing how these people have so much impact on our lives. they were supposed to be just some strangers, but they have become such an inseparable part of us.
i remember how i was literally shaking when i high-fived them, how i was screaming their names as if my life depended on it, how depressed i was after their concerts. i can recall so many memories with them, we have been through so much, and i am so incredibly grateful.
loving them is difficult, having to get through the hiatus, the mistreatment they receive, the hate people throw at them - but guess what, here we are now, looking back, prouder than ever.
5 years, it sounds long doesn’t it? but it seems like nothing when we compare it with the years they have trained for. they trained in uncertainty, without knowing whether they will get to debut or not; but now we are waiting confidently knowing the four of them are going to keep their promise, they will be coming back to us.
we will manage, we have their music with us, their variety shows, we can rewatch WINNER TV, we can always wait.

I wish I could tell WINNER how they helped me heal when I was at my worst. I was going through a ugly divorce and lost my father back to back, it was the most painful year in my life. I was depressed as hell maybe even thinking ending my life when I came across Team A's Smile Again. I remember sobbing but at the same time smiling while I was listening that song. After that, I became their fan. Each and every song they wrote helped me, healed me one way or another. They became such a joy in my life. I felt their pain, their happiness. I know right. All the groups I supported once became big. I can't be more happier for them but somewhere deep inside,I cannot hide the fact that the new generation of kpop fans are changing the environment here in a way I don't like. I would love to have fans like before 2016/17. Kpop had limited reach but it felt more home-y than ever.

I hope Winner stays on this scale. They are in a good place with stable fanbase and adequate love & support. Being more big will change the dynamic of fanbase and it won't be nice in any way. At least for me.

Actually it doesn’t matter when you become their fans. Because when you watch this mv, it feels like you’re with them from the start. It feels like we grow together and witnessed everything. We complete each other. We seek comfort from each other. We need someone that can help us grow to become a better person. The more we grow, the more humble we become because that is what WINNER teach us. WINNER gives us comfort and we give them love. WINNER often scold us if we’re spoiled. We get hurt and we make up. They won the survival show and had a successful debut, but then all attention was an iKon because of the petition and then Winner went on hitatus and came back minus one member, they had to work to become relevant again. Hi there, you needn't have to feel bad for Winner, tbh, Winneo has always been a digital monster group, a top A group in SK since their debut. It makes you think they would receive more hype, more vi3ws.
But I don't think that expectation really fits a group like Winneo. Winneo's members always say their wanted their songs loved and listened, not watched or hyped. Ofc, it doesn't mean getting hyped is not appreciated. But it is not the ult goal.
Instead of feeling bad of Winneo not getting hyped, we usually instead feeling bad for people who becoz of prejudice towards Kpop in general or have a tasteless taste to sleep on Winneo.
And also please not bring iKON in this discussion. Winneo with their characteristics have never hit like a global group, but a community-friendly one, Winneo has members who are mushy angels, so they did stick to their image and remained one of Korea national beloved groups. My best friend died and when this song came out she said “If this doesn’t play at my funeral I don’t want one” and that’s we played this song at her funeral her name was Sora she died on November 9th I can’t stop thinking about her. Rest In Peace to the person who brought light into my world.

Unlike other groups, it's impossible for winner to have a comeback with 3 members. So they hv to wait for all members to finish their military service duty before they can release new music again. But I'm glad that all of them have their own strength to pursue solo activities. No matter what, true innercircles will always stay and wait for winner because they always give us dope music. WINNER was there through my toughest and darkest times. My mom unfortunately died last 2019.. I honestly wasn't stable at that time, I was going through a phase. hardest phase of my life. It was devastating. But you know who was there to lift me up? WINNER and their songs.. These boys are so down-to-earth, they are so pure and honest, they care so much to their fans.
When they announced they were going to have cRoss Tour, I was so shocked, I cried so much because finally, I will be able to see them again. And you know what's more shocking? I gradually live my life the way I should, I started to believe in good things because of them. Listening to their songs gave me so much life, hope and i was able to rise up.

be it 5 years, 10 years, 20 years or more, WINNER, you will see me waving my lightstick in a nebula ocean and sing my heart out to your songs.

2ne1 is the Queen of Kpop, and just like Bigbang, the group also became 'punching bag' for k-netizen and k-media, the group has been hurt so many times, so many promises didn't get fulfilled, that was such a dark time for me

I didn't like WINNER at first look, I even was like "who are these kids", but they grew on me really really fast. They have become very important people for me, I love them, I have watched all their journey & I feel sad I wasn't with them since the beginning. Now I just hope for them to keep working on their dreams & be happy & healthy men. I know a hiatus is coming but I ask you to wait for them & stay with them until they say goodbye. Winner has always been successful. They have survived on the people who loved them from the first, and the people who followed them on the sideline and learned to love them in the end. I, myself, have been a shadow follower for a few years. It is a cliche, but it is the classic love I never knew I had until it was (almost) gone.
