My sister died on a Monday in 1992, we had to travel and prep for the funeral on Tuesday and Wednesday. The funeral was Thursday. This really pretty girl who was a couple years older than me was kind of flirting with me on Friday. It wasn't much, but it made me feel like everything would be ok eventually. Weird. My mom died on a Monday ... I was 15. The driver of the hearse was flirting big time with me...lol....I forget what day her funeral. I didn't get the feeling things would all be ok..and guess what my life's been a total mess with hurt non stop. Having lived through them, graduated hs 1990, I can tell you it was great. I just wish I would have appreciated those days more, at the time. We didnt realize how good we had it. Make sure to take time each day to reflect and, as they say, smell the roses. I am approaching 50 now and have just learned to take the time to be thankful for all the little things that happen each day. Today for example I was driving from work and the smell of freshly mowed hay took me back to my youth and the hardwork and happiness that smell represented. I have lost 4 close friends to illness and tragedy and wish I had one more chance to tell them what they meant to me. Sorry about the rambling but recent changes I have made have improved my life and I want everyone to slow down and appreciate the day.

I'm 51 yrs old now, I graduated high school in 1988.
This song came on the radio 2 days ago & my 15 yr old daughter was in my truck with me.
When it came on, I turned up the radio a little louder & sang along.
Before the song ended I was almost crying.
My daughter asked what was wrong, & I told ABSOLUTELY NOTHING...just some OLD FANTASTIC 80s FLASHBACK MEMORIES!!!

i just went out for a walk because i’ve been really depressed for a while and wanted to get out of my head just for a couple hours to think. i came to the cemetery today 12/3/21 it’s a beautiful sunny morning and i came across a random strangers grave and his birthday is 3 days after mine and one of the rocks one of his loved ones left has “friday i’m in love” painted in red with the rock colored white and for some reason it made me so happy. i’ve loved the cure for a while and seeing someone else that’s no longer here with the same taste in incredible music is so warming. rip leon.

I’ll always remember how my ex and I bonded over great music like this. We really were best for each other so sad he couldn’t handle his issues he still needed to workout but projected onto me. New Year’s Eve when we first started dating we listened to the cure and drove together and little did we know we would get super excited about all types of alternative music we shared.
