NewVillager Lyrics

Keep it up, don′t stop, don't lose your place
Keep it up, don′t stop, don't lose your place
Keep it up, don't stop, don′t lose your place
Keep it up, don′t stop, don't lose your place
Keep it up, don′t stop, don't lose your place
Keep it up, don′t stop, don't lose your place
How′re you going to get your hands inside the real thing
When you go and leave your mind sleeping
Time to understand your place in trees and buildings
When the time to dream is almost over
Go find a silver dog's head, put it on your own head
See the people call you, sad and lonely statue
Go out go free, run to the lighthouse
Go out go free, run to the lighthouse
See what you've never seen
See what you never
Time to light the fire
Build ideas inside your home
Up on the rooftops
You see the people stirring
Time to understand your place in trees and buildings
Where the time to dream is almost over, over
Go out, go free, run to the lighthouse (lighthouse) Go!
Go out, go free, run to the lighthouse
See what you′ve never seen
See what you never (never)
Know how to break out the dark house
You don′t have to stay around the old town
That makes you think of the babysitter
You got no time left to play it slow
No home just baby go take three steps on the right road
No time to hold hands with old plans
You now have to be the one who knows
When to build the home with the baby in it
Let all things drop or keep em every minute
No home just baby go take three steps on the right road
(Keep it up, don't stop, don′t stop, stop)
See the people call you
Sad and lonely statue
Go out, go free, run to the lighthouse
Go out, go free, out to the lighthouse, see what you never
Go out, go free, run to the lighthouse
Go out, go free, run to the lighthouse
See what you've never seen
Keep it up, don′t stop, don't lose your place

Interpretation:
My take on this is it fits with the path of life as a journey towards a light, which could be the end of life or the goodness in life.

I see the white creatures and white colors as life and goodness. I see the black tape as death. These things are seen moving towards creatures and way from creatures throughout the video as death comes for us all. Even at the end they see death under life in a few scenes. I see the blue characters represented as human Masculinity or even that of Adam. This is why one of the blue characters wields death, as war. Another has death coming for it, and it swallowing it in a manner. I see this as commentary on males being merchants of death. While the red characters represent Femininity. The red characters have a womb like burst at the beginning which feeds life as it follows, represented by the male character drinking from the female's life. This could also represent the evil from the apple, but that doesn't fit with the song as much. I believe it to be the drive of people to have a good life, which a female may do by providing for her children.

There are male and female dancers on the opposite color scheme, which I believe signifies we are not so different in gender and perhaps all genders have both 'qualities within them. The most telling part is when the sex is shown between a red woman and a blue man with green leaved hoods upon them. This might show that love is blind. It definitely shows that reproduction is natural and key to both the life and death cycle. It shows a bond that is significant and beautiful.

I see the ending where the white tarp has death covered while all the people make a repetitive motion as a note that all people are 'keeping up their life' with death behind it. This is motivation and not something to fear, unless it makes you "lose your place." Finally, we have all the characters together both above and under the death with life at the highest location on the stage. This says life is best. The drink of life and the sphere of death are placed as close to the sex characters heads as they can be in the finish, as is white all around them.

The beginning even has a telling mark. A green circle representing nature and the earth. Death covering half of the planet signifying the cycle of life and the danger to the planet. (maybe) Man and Woman in the middle, and life on the outside covering the core section of the earth. Also signifying the progress of life. The dancing and actions show to me that everything continues to move forward in time. When we look backwards in time, when the film is reversed, we see that the past follows this path as well.

At least that is my interpretation. So "we can build a home with a baby in it."

I messaged you guys two years ago on MySpace, telling you how much I loved those two songs you had then. I'm telling you guys now that I love this new song with all my heart this summer and I've got an equal romance with the music video that comes with you. It tells me that it's going to be a good summer of 2011 just like how the summer of 2009 was good because of you guys providing the soundtrack for it. Thanks.
