King of the Mountain
Kate Bush Lyrics

Could you see the aisles of women?
Could you see them screaming and weeping?
Could you see the storm rising?
Could you see the guy who was driving?
Could you climb higher and higher?
Could you climb right over the top?
Why does a multi-millionaire
Fill up his home with priceless junk?

The wind is whistling,
The wind is whistling
Through the house.

Elvis, are you out there somewhere
Looking like a happy man?
In the snow with Rosebud
And king of the mountain.

Another Hollywood waitress
Is telling us she's having your baby.
And there's a rumor that you're on ice
And you will rise again someday,
And that there's a photograph
Where you're dancing on your grave.

The wind is whistling,
The wind is whistling
Through the house.

Elvis, are you out there somewhere
Looking like a happy man?
In the snow with Rosebud
And king of the mountain.

The wind, it blows,
The wind, it blows the door closed.

The Complete Poems of Emily Dickinson

The mountains grow unnoticed
Their purple figures rise
Without attempt - exhaustion
Assistance or applause

In their eternal faces
The sun with just delight
Looks long and last and golden
For fellowship at night

Her production is crazy. Just listening to some of her new stuff makes me wonder how she does it. Her music is austere and lush at the same time. I love the subtle reggae touches in this track.

@ulfingvar1 She has Access to world-class musicians, and a World class engineering and mixing team. They completely get, and understand her ultimate musical vision. And she always, recorded at Abbey road now because she understands the 'rooms' and degrees of wetness as a characteristic of each. It also helps that they have her favourite mics and track laying boards.

@ulfingvar1 she had some force on Hounds of love though by Jim Steinmann

I saw a documentary of her, where fans (or fanatic as one fan descibed herself) talked about their relationship to Kate's music. I'm lucky to be one of the few with the possibility to listen to every one of her albums when they first came out. I was in the Army when Hounds of Love (1985) came out. It took me a while, but it became my number one album. Not even Pink Floyd could top that.

Thank God she produces herself, and doesn't allow some outside force, no matter how good, to mess with her vision. I've always felt such artists are more genuine.

She got me through a horrible school experience when I was 19. She’s a blessing.

I wish I knew her music in my school years it would have helped me so much. Glad I have it now.

Don't worry about Kate Bush. She will be listened to in 500 years.

Lourat Lurf Lubaf

She'll be alive and performing in 500 years if her looks in this vid are any indication.

@Nellie S I don't need to. My son listens to her music voluntarily.
He was six years old when I heard him sing loudly in his room: "Aaaall yours, babooshka, babooshka, babooshka ya ya ..." 😊
