After Midnight
J.J. Cale Lyrics

After midnight
We're gonna let it all hang out
After midnight
We're gonna chug-a-lug and shout
We're gonna 'cause talk and suspicion
Give an exhibition
Find out what it is all about

After midnight
We're gonna let it all hang out
After midnight
Gonna shake your tambourine
After midnight it's gonna be peaches and cream, hmm
We're gonna cause talk and suspicion
Give an exhibition
Find out what it is all about

After midnight
We're gonna let it all hang out

We're gonna 'cause talk and suspicion
Give an exhibition
Find out what it is all about

After midnight
We're gonna let it all hang out
After midnight
We're gonna let it all hang out

This man is NOT in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame.  Travesty.  He is one of the most outstanding contributors to the great American Songbook.

Yes ... certainly 'tis ...!!!

An absolute fucking joke and a disgrace ... JJ is an absolute legend, one of the greatest guitarists ever, a poet, producer, and just general overall genius. Coolness personified...His music will live on...

RnR Hall is politics as usual.

Kinda like Ry Cooder status in that regard (although not sure if he's been inducted yet forgive me if wrong - in sure any musician famous or not would agree),,, if Rys not inducted that's a travesty but not surprising he was even more mainstream underground to the public anyway ☮️

He has been a silent one, never used his elbows . Great musician who didnt give a damn about such things .Greetings from Vienna, Austria

Everyone in the world loves JJ Cale - he was multi-talented - humble - creative and cool and he left the world with no fanfare - RIP JJ Cale

I couldn't agree more, But you gotta admit, Lynyrd did a great job of covering CALL ME THE BREEZE...!

I love his version much more than Claptons. What a groove these Tulsa guys laid.

Cale's version suffers from how it is not like Clapton's ( original ) and Clapton's version suffers from what is missing from Cale's. The Michelobe ad version was a gruesome musical crime.
