This is probably the best cover I've ever heard. Tool did an outstanding job of keeping this original by using the same lyrics and riffs while injecting their own style with complexity and a heavier sound they are known for. I was 19 when No Quarter was released in 1973, it remains to this day a timeless classic. Rarely does a cover creates its own singular vibe & yet remains true.
Instantly recognizable as both Led Zeppelin & Tool, the torch has been passed on from one to the other. Tool is the heir apparent of the 'Hammer of the Gods'.

The first times I listened to this song were absolutely transcendental for me. This song and Pushit Salival (my favorite TOOL songs) awaken my third eye when I close my eyes and listen on the genius that is TOOL. I saw them live this year in Columbus. I remember being in the 7th and 8th grade in '03/04 and during this time my parents would stay gone for days at a time [not gonna say why] but it was just me, my 3 younger brothers, and my oldest brother and we would put this song on repeat to fall asleep to...I love this song but it brings back some good AND bad memories it's really amazing how just a song can bring on so much emotion and memories that take you back, this is one of the many reasons music will ALWAYS be a part of my life ESPECIALLY Tool 🔧

@BIgFudgetbh when I saw them live I was let down. They played phenomenally but the energy of the sound didn’t translate to such a big arena. I sat in the nosebleeds so that may be it but primus opened up first and they tore the place up. Primus’ live energy blew away tool. Tool is still my favorite band.

I learned about the existence of this “No Quarter” cover just today. It is my favorite Zeppelin song of all time. It took me a few minutes for my ears to adjust and soulfully accept to another voice paying homage to Robert Plant. A very good cover! The video is pretty cool too.

I used to listen to Tool around the turn of the century, but my tastes kinda evolved away from them. Probably explains why this cover never made it onto my radar. Still have big respect for Maynard James Keenan and his talents though.

as the song crescendoed.....all the lights off in living room, blasting on stereo....i closed my eyes and stood atop the coffee table......here comes the crescendo.......i raise my head, close my eyes and spread my arms.....BOOM, IT HITS>>...IM ABSORBING IT........IM IN A VORTEX OF SOUND.....I START BOBBING UP AND DOWN and HEADBANGING (arms still open wide).....AND THEN....

the front door opens and my wife walks in from work with chick filet bag in her hands....steps in, freezes, staring at me as i do not know she is there and i proceed to headbang my little heart out until the end of the song where i jump around the room like a spider monkey and end up laying on the ground at the end sweaty and out of breath.....i finally open my eyes and shes staring down at me

Is it just me or has there been a significant increase in views/comments recently for something that's been on here years? I love this song, I think it's not only one of the best all-time covers, but one of my fav Tool songs as well (and that is saying a lot as I LOVE Tool). I've watched this video so many times, and I'm happy to see more people appreciate it.

The term "no quarter" refers to war times when enemy soldiers were taken captive. They were to be immediately executed or receive "no quarter" meaning no shelter, no food or water, no comforts of any kind. This song makes me think of that every time i hear it. Wicked!

Was getting a tattoo done in like 2015 and the artist put this on the TV.
I always knew who TOOL were but never gave them a chance. No Quarter is one of my favourite songs ever so it caught my attention immediately. I haven’t looked back since, this is one of the best covers I’ve ever heard and TOOL are a powerhouse 🤘🏼

Nothing will ever beat the original but this is over everything else
