Felt inspired to write this after listening to it.
"Dad what are those lights in the sky?" "The stars? They are our legacy, our past, and our loss, little one." "I don't understand." "And I would be afraid if you already did. Long ago those were our homes. Each light you see is a family left behind, an empty home, and a lighthouse of hope." "Why did we leave?" "because we did not show the love each one deserved, and when it was too late we decided the only way to keep our homes safe was to leave them forever." "But doesn't that mean it's not our's anymore?" "They will never be our's again child, but the least we can do is give them a special home in our hearts."

Gave me a very Amélie feel... In my town we refurbished some old pianos and painted them all sorts of cool and now whenever I walk around outside (now that it's getting nice out) I almost always hear someone playing a song from the Amélie soundtrack... It makes me happy to know other people loved it too...
Enough about Amélie; this song is amazing.

I always just take songs and match them to stories. Either made up in my mind or from books or movies or shows or whatever. Whenever i listen to music i am literally daydreaming. And this was an especially beautiful song.

I do the exact same thing! I don't feel so crazy now.
@LynnLynn36
I'm glad to know that others do this. I use music as marking points in my life and sometimes, I use it to describe a time in my life that simply words may not be able to explain. Music is the words of life.

i've been listening to this for so long now. i don't know how to express my emotions when i'm listening to it. there's definitely something phenomenal about this song. i just feel like there's a lot of emotions hits me everytime i try to listen to this masterpiece, somehow it makes me very sad and nostalgic, i'm so glad i found a music that made my emotions confused.

In 3:51 I just watched the birth of a child, his amazing transitions throughout live, the day he met his beautiful wife, the birth of their two kids, and eventually his gentle passing into the unknown. All a daydream, of course, but it was just as beautiful as the real thing. This is a wonderful, wonderful track
@imakemusique
+Feel the Vibes you just added an amazing visual to the song, thanks!
@gudrohi
+Indigo Thoughts I was almost thinking the same....as soon as the track started,I was thinking of a baby in his crib,watching the moving stars above,smiling and playing ^_^
@missingmochigumanofficial
Holy shit. Watch Furiko (Pendulum). It's a short animation piece that you just described entirely in your comment and it will surely match up with this song.
@OHMAIGAWDITSGRIZZ
Wow, what a lovely animation. I had never seen it before until today!
@marco56702
This comment should be included in the description of the video, thank you for this wonderful insight
@gilbertdelacampagne
Rare , very emotional !!!
@motho5286
Okay. I know that this is really cliche and lame, but I really believe that this song saved my life. I was having a terrible day, easily the worst day of my life. My family was falling apart, my dear friend had just passed away the week before, and I was done. I had preparations all set to end my life. The only reason I was going online to delete my social media so my parents wouldn't have to. I saw a link to this song on my feed the second I logged in. I thought "what the hell," and clicked on it. Within moments, I was sobbing. All I could think was, "As stupid as it sounds, this stupid song that I'm listening to on this stupid website on this stupid day gives me hope. Everything will be okay." I stood up, brushed myself off, called my mom, told her I loved her, and here I am today. SO YEAH HELLA LAME AND ALL, BUT THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG AND IT MAKES ME THINK ABOUT THE BEAUTIFUL SIMPLE THINGS IN LIFE THAT I WOULD NEVER HAVE EXPERIENCED. sO UM THANKS YEAH.
@Zazie370

@kyle7412
Words can not describe how incredible this song is.
@OrhanOzan
I never knew what "Fjarlægur" had meant. Then I learned it meant "distant, remote, far away". That was tough to swallow.
Several years ago, I had this girlfriend that I was madly in love with. And we used to listen to this song a lot whenever we were in the car. I didn't have a driver's license. She did, however. She would drive and I'b be in charge of the music. I had added this song to our playlist. For some reason, it felt so magical at the time when it was this song's turn to play. Life felt too good to be true. But then, being the idiot I was, I broke her heart and we broke up... It's been years now and I can't seem to fall in love again. Depression has it's strong grasp on me. Sometimes I come here and listen to this song. It makes me sad... Like..super sad. Like Hitler being invaded by Russia kind of sad; but it also takes me back and makes me remember the pure happiness I once had. The sad but also the lovely part is, it makes me remember everything so vividly. Now I listen to this and I see her, clearer than any picture I'd look at. I see the road...I see the sunset...I remember how the sun used to reflect on her beautiful green eyes as she drove...I remember not being able to take my eyes away from her. And it all feels so distant...so remote...so far away...so...Fjarlægur...
@mishaaboutcrypto4843
Thank you for sharing your story 😌
@rui_mas
you write well :)
@xKruker
the hitler joke got me, hope you doing fine man
@OrhanOzan
@@xKruker Hey man, I really appreciate your kindness. It's been 6 years since then...and she got married. As for me, what can I say? It's one heartbreak after another. The sad thing is, the pain surely dulls your senses over time and it makes you feel hollow inside. Sometimes I sit in my room and let the distant memories invade my thoughts. They take me back and make me feel this bittersweet happiness. I might be a masochist, I don't know. There's no cure, except The Cure. It's a lovely band.
@salmik_
@vydana your story... i relate. this is the song i listened to with my first love (and only as of yet). the distance feels so real, the memories of a different lifetime, of a different world. i cry when i listen, partially for the sad nostalgia for that magical feeling of being in love, but also at the joy i feel for having been lucky enough to experience love. i hope you get to the same feeling

Hey Sheepy, if you're reading this, is it okay if you can post more head-banging videos I suppose? You've been posting a lot of chill videos lately, now don't get me wrong, I actually like chill songs, but I feel like I need to move my body again listening to the songs you choose for us. I love this channel, I subscribed and visit almost everyday for a new song. I just want some new trap songs, I love those! But it's okay to disagree, I fully understand that. :)

Oh, what do we have here? It evokes anti-anxiety emotions wrapped in a distant blanket of soothing compassion. You become aware of an emotional journey, but you cannot stop. The rhythm carries you away and takes you where it wills. Thank you Oskar Schuster.

@ClockworkCouture.
When I heard this, it immediately gave me the story of two people having known each other since youth. They'd lost contact with each other over the years but still remained friends, and then one of them decides to start writing letters to eachother asking if they remember various things from their shared pasts.
@Jonzo11
This beautiful song, and the playlist that I found it on, got me through the hardest project of the hardest class of my days in college. For that I am eternally grateful.
