In the early and mid-20th century it was an anti-romantic trend in which composers were influenced by the music and aesthetics of the music of the Viennese classical, baroque and renaissance eras. The most famous neoclassical composer was Igor Stravinsky with such works as Pulcinella, Oedipus Rex and The Rake's Progress.
Neo Classical composers focus on rigid structure, mathematical precision, and the simple rewards found in a pretty melody. Armed with both foresight and hindsight, they return to traditional forms with innovative spirit, leaving behind contemporary stylistic trappings atonality, serialism, and Minimalism. Composer Maurice Ravel helped develop musical Impressionism with such works as the ballet Daphnis et Chloe, a fresh piece with lilting, free-flowing passages, it captures both a feeling of stately drama and galloping, sensual exuberance. For all that forward-thinking, Ravel was keenly interested in distinct rhythmic and melodic structure, often using strict three- part sonata form and deriving many of his compositions from that of Baroque, Classical, and Romantic composers. His "La Valse" was an homage to Johann Strauss (creator of such non-revolutionary classics as "The Blue Danube"), utilizing Viennese Waltz rhythms and a strong melodic sense.
Later neoclassical has meant music of several genres with classical influences: neoclassical dark wave, neoclassical new age and neoclassical metal.
Inspired by early music and modern classical, Neoclassical dark wave combines an atmospheric, orchestral approach with the dark and melancholy aesthetics of Dark Wave. Neoclassical makes extensive use of orchestral elements, typically where budget permits; many bands utilize orchestra-derived synthesizer samples, while some better-known groups such as Elend make use of chamber orchestras and other acoustic instruments. Vocals in the subgenre can vary; many Neoclassical groups make use of opera- or madrigal-like vocals are seen in the genre, as are purely instrumental groups. Several bands in the subgenre are notable for a martial approach, including heavy use of snare drum and militaristic themes.

That’s what happens when you reach the bottom, I know because I’ve been there.
You are just there walking to the unknown and it doesn’t matter where it leads you, because anywhere will be better than where you are now.
While you walk you think a lot, you criticize yourself, look at the mistakes you’ve done in the past and blame your own for everything.
At that point you are just too tired of living, I get it. Life it’s hard, nobody is always perfect, it’s ok to be sad. But it’s when we are on our lowest point that the change happens.
She hasn’t spoken a single word, yet she told us everything.
Sadly I’ve lost my father due to a brain cancer and he was so young, I’m still working on my way back to the trails. I’m sure things will be fine, it’s just the pain that hurts quite a lot. If you ever need someone, come to the comments at YouTube, people here want you to be happy.

Handmaid's Tale S4 E9
June , Nick and their baby daughter reunite for very little time. They laugh , joke , play with their baby daughter , happy in their little bubble. For a moment they forget the reality that's surrounding them.
They hold each other one last time. Not wanting to let go . He tells her to keep herself safe. Just when she starts walking towards her car , Nick says "Hey June , Try and be happy" She smiles and says "You , too"
They both nod fully knowing it's a lie.
She drives by and Nick slips a wedding ring on his finger. She drives home to a life without him. Back to reality. She breaks down in the car.
This scene + Song was enough to make me sob. The magic is palpable. No matter how many times I re-watch , it still makes me cry. Such powerful composition. ❤️

What makes this scene exceptionally well directed is the timing and location of her breakdown. As she walks down the city streets and the solitary country roads, she continues to hold herself together by maintaining the same rhythm of walking, putting one foot in front of the other, trying to keep the mental anguish at bay by focusing all of her mental resources on the physical action of walking. Her rhythm is the only thing keeping her from breaking down. But at the moment she encounters the stairs, and leans on the railings taking support, her rhythm is broken. At that precise moment her mind can no longer hold back the emotional turmoil and she breaks down. The brilliance is in how accurately this bit portrays the basics of human behaviour, extremely subtle yet incredibly powerful, and masterfully acted.

Such a well written explanation. Never figured this out myself.

You are so right. She was forced to break stride which allowed her grief to finally be set free. Such a profoundly beautiful and sad moment.
