Wonderful Woman
The Smiths Lyrics

Here her head, she lay
Until she'd rise and say,
"I'm starved of mirth,
Let's go and trip a dwarf"

Oh, what to be done with her?
Oh, what to be done with her?

Ice water for blood
With neither heart or spine
And then just
To pass time; let us go and rob the blind

What to be done with her?
I ask myself,
What to be said of her?

But when she calls me, I do not walk, I run
Oh, when she calls, I do not walk, I run

The guitar sounds so damn haunting like straight out of a sad dream

@Alex C Johnny mentions in an interview that The Smiths and Everything But The Girl were good acquaintances, and that people have compared his guitar playing to EBTG's guitarist. He even guest-appeared on one of their songs, playing the harmonica. I'll drop the link below.

check out Never Could Have Been Worse by Everything But the Girl (I'd bet my life that is a Marr tune)

Charles J. Pritchard

Potentially the greatest song by The Smiths

Creepy Crawl

C'mon man that would be Rubber Ring - The Smiths in a nutshell no contest 👍💖

Jérémy Fragso

Each of their song is actually their best song 😥The first step of the podium is 6 miles long

Simon Tanner

One of their greatest, for sure (along with That Joke isn't Funny Anymore and Reel around the Fountain). All the hallmarks are there - Morrissey's plaintive voice, the lilting Marr guitar, both of them off on their own yet so clearly on the same wave. Beautiful, haunting song

John The Simp

i think so too, the patterns of this song are crazy
