The Weary Kind
Ryan Bingham Lyrics

You rolled them seven's with nothing lose
And this ain't no place for the weary kind
You called all your shots
Shooting 8 ball at the corner truck stop
Somehow this don't feel like home anymore
And this ain't no place for the weary kind
And this ain't no place to lose your mind
And this ain't no place to fall behind
Pick up your crazy heart and give it one more try
Your body aches'
Playing your guitar and sweating out the hate
The days and the nights all feel the same
Whiskey has been a thorn in your side
And it doesn't forget
The highway that calls for your heart inside
And this ain't no place for the weary kind
And this ain't no place to lose your mind
And this ain't no place to fall behind
Pick up your crazy heart and give it one more try
Your lovers won't kiss
It's too damn far from your fingertips
You are the man that ruined her world
Your heart's on the loose
You rolled them seven's with nothing lose
And this ain't no place for the weary kind
The Weary Kind by Ryan Bingham is a song about a man who has been on the road for too long, playing his guitar to numb the pain and forget about his troubles. His heart is restless, and he feels like he has nothing to lose, having lived a life full of gambles and risks, like rolling the dice in a game of craps. The lyrics "Your heart's on the loose, you rolled them seven's with nothing to lose" illustrate this idea. However, he realizes that the life he has been living is starting to take its toll on him, and he cannot handle it anymore. He feels out of place, like the world he used to know is not the same anymore, and he cannot find his way back home. The lyrics "Somehow this don't feel like home anymore" express this notion of displacement.
The song talks about how whiskey has been a thorn in his side, reminding him of the mistakes he has made, and how the highway is a constant reminder of what he has left behind. The lyrics "Whiskey has been a thorn in your side, and it doesn't forget, the highway that calls for your heart inside" capture this idea beautifully. The chorus of the song reminds the listener that this is not a place for the weary kind, and that the singer needs to pick up his "crazy heart" and give it one more try. The song ends with the singer realizing that he has lost the love of his life and how the distance has made it impossible for them to be together. The lyrics "You are the man that ruined her world, your lovers won't kiss, it's too damn far from your fingertips" deliver this message.

This song hit me to the very depth of my soul. I've been married to my husband for 16 yrs. He is an over the road truck driver. Its in his blood. I would joke and say the road is his mistress. Missed holidays, birthdays you name it. When he would come home,you could see the age the road left on him. To the point ,I didn't even recognize him. My own husband was a stranger. To say the lease, it's hard on our relationship. Yet, we always made do. Grateful for the time God gave us. That's a special type of person to dedicate your heart and soul for the road. That is until.
I was diagnosed with breast and Lympynod cancer. A hell of a trip your mind plays on you when all you have to do is think. The games your mind plays. While all you see is that white line down the pavement. He would say if anything happens. I'll try to make it home. I'm doing my best. I will be there. Sometimes empty promises. Money has to be made. We have more bills now do to the cancer treatments. This for us. I could hear the hurt in his voice, of feeling as if he let Me, us down. I have to get going. Im late. Got to make up time. Hurry up and wait. Pavement waits for no one. I choose him and would again. But, that love comes at a very heavy price. He tells me this is his last trip. He's done. He misses home. (Me) The Road Ain't no place for the weary kind. Cherish what you have. Don't ever take one moment for granted .Peace & Love. Sorry for the book

Lo único que puedo añadir, es que esta extraordinaria balada, lleva una parte del alma, de muchos de nosotros. Magnífica.

@@kennethbrown7791Posted on 3 songs that I have seen. I guess there are many. If you can't spell the type of cancer you have..... Problem.
@MarieSchilling88
STOP WITH TRYING TO ILLICIT SYMPATHY! I have seen your novella on 3 different songs. First, to say the "least" not "lease". Second, you can't spell what type of Cancer you have? This is disgraceful to people who actually have cancer in their "LYMPH Nodes" and don't come on YT with some story. What do you get out of this?
@MarieSchilling88
Lympynod? It's called Lymphoma and it's Lymph Nodes.
