Ching Chime
Serj Tankian Lyrics

Why make time when no one pays a dime
To remunerate a rhyme over the ching chime
Ch-ch ch-ching chime
Ch-ch ch-ching chime

Creating a crime, just start with Melodie
Looking at a mime, the rhymes are all mine
But no one pays no mind, over the ching chime
Ch-ch ch-ching chime, ch-ch ch-ching chime

In the daytime, face covered by the grime
Sucking on a lime, when no one pays no mind
Slapping on a rhyme, over the ching chime
Over the ching chime, ch-ch ch-ching chime

Super Bowl half time, any time is war time
Seconds is just past time, gonorrhea over time
F*** that and spread time, no a friend of mine
Over the ching chime, ch-ch ch-ching chime

I’ll f*** your mind over the spring time
Degrading in your prime, and thoughts so asinine
But no one pays no mind, and no one pays a dime
Over the ching chime, ch-ch ch-ching chime

Open your eyes, don’t be this way
Though all your dreams are swept away
The stairs will rise from yesterday
Your tears and fears all melt away

Super Bowl half time, any time is war time
Seconds is just past time, gonorrhea over time
F*** that and spread time, no a friend of mine
Over the ching chime, ch-ch ch-ching chime

I’ll f*** your mind over the spring time
Degrading in your prime, and thoughts so asinine
But no one pays a dime, and no one pays a dime
Over the ching chime, ch-ch ch-ching chime

Open your eyes, don’t be this way
Though all your dreams are swept away
The stairs will rise from yesterday
Your tears and fears all melt away

The waters will rush but don’t dismay
As smiles will cross the world will stay
The bridge has crossed itself today
Now close your eyes and sway this way, sway this way

Open your eyes, don’t be this way
Though all your dreams are swept away
The stairs will rise from yesterday
Your tears and fears all melt away

The waters will rush but don’t dismay
As smiles will cross the world will stay
The bridge has crossed itself today
Now close your eyes and sway this way, sway this way

I remunerate a rhyme over the ching chime
Ch-ch ch-ching chime
Ch-ch ch-ching chime

Creating a crime, just starting with Melodie
Looking at a mime, the rhymes are all mine
But no one pays no mind
Over the ching chime, ching chime

In the day time face covered by the grime
Sucking on a lime when no one pays no mind
Slamming on a rhyme, over the ching chime
Over the ching chime, ching chime

Serj said this in an interview with artist direct: “A new record requires three years. It’s not something I can do right now. When I can commit to a three-year album cycle, I’ll be down to do it.” He also talked about the creative process, saying, “I can’t write a forced record. It’s like romancing someone at a time you don’t want to be romantic. It’s not even a choice.”

I wouldn't go that far but he's definitely up there with the best. I prefer Pink Floyd and Steve Miller band over him only because I grew up with more classic/acid rock. Still love Serj though...

Im in a metal band, and I just bought a Mandolin.

@Alex : Wtf do you want? Lmao of course it‘s not a Mandolin, because it obviously is an Oud or a Rabab, which you can find out if you do what I said in my previous comment... why are you ignoring what I and others here wrote and are so fixated on the Mandolin, which I never mentioned?

Alex :

@ً The instrument they're playing still isn't a mandolin. And I know this, because I play the mandolin, and that isn't what it sounds like. You could easily emulate that sound with a mandolin, or give it a more full bodied tone through amps and mixing, but at the end of the day, you're not going to make an acoustic mandolin sound like that

ً

@Alex : Wtf dude just listen to World Music Apple Loops in GarageBand or look for videos of people playing the oud, the rabab or other arab or turkish instruments! Lol

Alex :

That's not a mandolin they're playing. I've played mandy for a few years and it's a lot tinnier and higher pitched than that. Sounds more like a sitar or a strumstik
