+Carla Richards My Dad used to blare this song, and many reggae songs, especially by Burning Spear, which gave me a love of reggae. Although I have always loved of reggae, this song is one of my very favorites and brings me back to my happy (relatively) days as a child. Much love from Canada!

This song is LIFE. LOL I was just a little kid when it came out but my parents were cool as hell with great taste in music. I remember taking the record to school as my contribution to the playlist for Jump Rope for Heart, a charity event for heart health. It was originally released in 1982 so imagine this sweet 7 year old coming to school with this record. 🤣 Parents got a call that day! 🤷♀️

Great story! I once did a similar thing with some school function, 6th grade, maybe. I brought in Revolution, the slow version, by The Beatles. It raised eyebrows that I didn't fully comprehend for a few years. Peace!
