bury a friend
Billie Eilish Lyrics

What do you want from me? Why don't you run from me?
What are you wondering? What do you know?
Why aren't you scared of me? Why do you care for me?
When we all fall asleep, where do we go?
Come here
Say it, spit it out, what is it exactly?
You're payin'? Is the amount cleanin' you out, am I satisfactory?
Today, I'm thinkin' about the things that are deadly
The way I'm drinkin' you down
Like I wanna drown, like I wanna end me
Step on the glass, staple your tongue (ahh)
Bury a friend, try to wake up (ah-ahh)
Cannibal class, killing the son (ahh)
Bury a friend, I wanna end me
I wanna end me
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna end me
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna
What do you want from me? Why don't you run from me?
What are you wondering? What do you know?
Why aren't you scared of me? Why do you care for me?
When we all fall asleep, where do we go?
Listen
Keep you in the dark, what had you expected?
Me to make you my art and make you a star
And get you connected?
I'll meet you in the park, I'll be calm and collected
But we knew right from the start that you'd fall apart
'Cause I'm too expensive
It's probably somethin' that shouldn't be said out loud
Honestly, I thought that I would be dead by now (wow)
Calling security, keepin' my head held down
Bury the hatchet or bury your friend right now
The debt I owe, gotta sell my soul
'Cause I can't say no, no, I can't say no
Then my limbs all froze and my eyes won't close
And I can't say no, I can't say no
Careful
Step on the glass, staple your tongue (ahh)
Bury a friend, try to wake up (ah-ahh)
Cannibal class, killing the son (ahh)
Bury a friend, I wanna end me
I wanna end me
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna end me
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna
What do you want from me? Why don't you run from me?
What are you wondering? What do you know?
Why aren't you scared of me? Why do you care for me?
When we all fall asleep, where do we go?
The lyrics to Billie Eilish's song "bury a friend" are haunting and introspective, providing a glimpse into the mind of someone struggling with their own demons. The song is a conversation between the singer and another person, most likely a therapist or close friend. The singer is questioning why the other person hasn't run away from them yet, expressing their own self-destructive tendencies and desire to end their life.
The chorus repeats the phrase "bury a friend," and the verses provide gruesome imagery such as stepping on glass and stapling one's tongue, alluding to the pain and self-harm the singer is causing themselves. They also mention "cannibal class, killing the son," possibly a reference to societal pressure and expectations.
The bridge of the song reveals the singer's internal struggle, feeling indebted and unable to say no, ultimately leading to a desire to end their life. The phrase "when we all fall asleep, where do we go?" is repeated throughout the song, implying a fear of death and what may come after it.
Overall, "bury a friend" is a powerful exploration of mental illness and the struggle to find hope amidst darkness.

xxxtentacion was a sacrifice for her popularity. now before yall talk, no im not a hater of billie, i personally love both jah and billie, but i also strongly believe jah was a sacrifice for her popularity. if yall wnna know why, ill tell you...
yall must be knowing jah and billie were really close friends, right?
jah died on 18 June 2018. right after his death, Billie’s album “When we all fall Asleep, Where do we go?” came out and jah's sacrifice is why the album was a hit.
In this song ‘Bury A Friend’, Billie has secretly revealed a dark secret about her close friend jah.
right after the song was released, Billie tweeted that the song is about the death of her friend. The music producers then made her delete that tweet.
getting back into this mv, in the beginning of the mv, a dead guy is seen who resembles jah. Billie is seen hiding under the bed after she was successful in killing her friend which is jah.
The mv and lyrics all points to the human sacrifice of jah which gave fame to Billie.
LEMME BE CLEAR AGAIN, I LOVE BOTH BILLIE AND JAH....
RIP JAH
llj forever...
peace out✌
