Congrats on 10 years.
Your music changed my life. I listened to Insides during my ayahuasca ceremony
@rawmaterials7546
Holly crap, that's an intersting twist. How did the ceremony go, what did you see? And what has changed? Any long-term effects?
@demmaikseingropp
jon, if your read this - this album is the voice of my inner mind and a big part of my life. thank you.

Immunity is my favorite album ever!!! 😍😍 These songs makes me feel on another conscious level!!
Thank you, Jon Hopkins!
@joecantdance494
Having followed Jon since the Opalescent days, I was thrilled that he gained so many new fans with Immunity. It's not my favorite (Singularity for the win) but it's still a stunning album. I urge everyone to go back and listen to his earlier stuff, including the aforementioned Opalescent which is just magnificent
@kudjo24
Opalescent first then Immunity for me, few other albums occupy my top three so solidly as Jon's music does.
@leomonkey7
Jon has been my top Spotify artist for the few years they've been doing the Wrapped thing, Insides hooked me!
@joecantdance494
@Vanessa Harikul Insides is a great album. Light through the Veins was my introduction to Jon

I wonder, is 'Abandon Window' with Nils Frahm?... What a marvelous record this is! Discovered it through a friend trying his new vinyl set for an ecstatic dance on me.
@jcy4rza
The first time I encountered Jon Hopkins music I was immediately inspired to get into music production. I was 15 years old, I went to the Coldplay's "Viva La Vida Tour" in 2009, and Jon opened up the concert with Malice in Wonderland visuals with his album "Insides". It was magnificent. It was a great Coldplay concert, but Jon Hopkins got me blasted and I didn't know it yet.
@22Ein
I saw you perform Immunity in Brisbane. It was the single greatest live set I’ve been to without having to go overseas.
Thank you for dropping by. Xx

Happily to receive this, can't wait for the one of most ferocious frontier in classical & techno combined genius
@joebanks4997
As far as introspective reflection on life, I don't think there's a better pathway piece than Abandon Window. I'm aware that it was originally written for a tsunami that killed a lot of people however I was unaware of that the first time I heard it. For me it's a pathway to deep reflection upon life itself, a way to appreciate the passage of time and to understand the nature of transience in the people around us. It connected me to my inner core and my inner truth and allowed me to understand that there are people around me who I appreciate and love deeply.
Thank you Jon. an absolute masterpiece.

Immunity, the song, is a work of art.

How beautiful this is. Simply marvellous.
@darkalexsax
Hi Jon, listening to your music I've always had the the feeling that each little sound, each distorted percussion or atmospheric pad, has been consciously crafted with a lot of intention. My question is: what's your mental process when you craft those sounds. How do you know that each sound is "done" and continue to work on the rest of the track.
Do you tend to "jam" a lot, experiment and listen to the "rushes"... or do you make a series of concious decisions, bounce the audio, and continue ?
thanks for taking the time to answer our questions 🙏🏻
@eloyriga1006
It is what it is. What's the point on knowking the "secret", the fórmula, why can't you just enjoy the final product?

I unfortunately didn’t make it to the livestream due to time zones, but when I was watching back the live chat, it’s such a comforting and heavenly experience to see how such an album can resonate that deep into our hearts and the people who experienced the feeling can gather together and FEEL the album. Can someone enlighten me as to what implements are providing the sound effects in the song 'Immunity'?
@chemick606
I read in an interview he recorded his creaky piano pedal for the percussion on the song ‘Immunity’
@SouihliAhmed
This album sounds so different on different states of consciousness, if you know what I mean.
@ryancarlton9853
No I don't SouihliAhmed, care to explain what you mean by that?

@darkalexsax
Was your goal to make music that would work in clubs and festivals when you made the album? I always have the feeling that you tend towards dance music while always trying to make it not really club friendly on purpose.
@pezushka
Never sure what to make of remasters, I can never tell the difference?
@FormByFirelight
Jon, have you ever done an MBTI test ( personality test ) it is free to do it online. If you did and don’t mind to share the result with me/us I’d be delighted 😁 For science purposes 😅😆
@milky7257
Heavy Ni vibes from Jon and the way he conceptualises his art. If I had to guess I'd say INFJ but maybe possibly INTJ. But obviously I don't know the man, I'm just a typology nerd and a big fan and I can't speak for him.
@kenmken
God damn why are people into this MBTI psuedoscience so cult like about it. Congrats on reducing yourself and others to an acronym of 5 letters. Do yourself a favor and stop being so attached to these labels
@chemick606
@@milky7257I would guess INFJ as well. A strong feeling type I predict, because he focuses on making music that explores the depth and complexity of what he feels.
