Overall Meaning

The lyrics to JAM Project's "DRAGON" describe a group of warriors who refuse to be defeated by their enemies. The opening lines speak of a "howling beast" deep in the darkness, who is fearless in the face of evil. Despite being surrounded by a whirlpool of fate that cannot be avoided, someone continues to search for who they can protect, even if it means facing wounds and scars. The chorus is a call for the warriors of the dragon, who are dedicated to lighting the "flames of life" and running through the maze of time until their dying day.

The second verse speaks of a person who is unaware of the meaning behind the many gods' prayers and the purpose of justice. Those who are left behind in the bloodshed of history project themselves onto the writer, who is filled with the determination to fight in the sea of flames that resembles hell itself. The song emphasizes the importance of never giving up, even when faced with impossible odds, and always fighting for a better world.
