Our high school marching band is playing a song called "meetings along the water's edge" which has parts based off of this, and it's pretty awesome so far

Even though this sounds like a Philip Glass piece it was composed by Ravi Shankar alone. RIP Ravi Shankar. You will be missed.

I think Mike is right. As I understand it, and I have seen contradictive information surrounding the compositional approaches to Passages, both composers supplied the initial melodies and the other composer (who didn't supply the initial melody) would turn that melody into a complete instrumental work. A fascinating collaboration!

Years and years ago I was watching a video displaying some of the best goals and skills of Didier Drogba. This song was featured. Thought it was great and took a caption to remind myself to hear it, forgot all about it, until today that i found the picture and came here looking for it. It’s like my past self giving me a high five. Great.
