Supernaut
1000 Homo DJs Lyrics

I want to reach out and touch the sky
I want to touch the sun but I don't want to fly
I'm gonna climb up every mountain on the moon
And find the dish that runs away with the spoon

Supernaut
Supernaut

I've crossed the ocean, turned every bend
I found the crossing near a golden rainbow's end
I've been through magic and through life's reality
I've lived a thousand years it never bothered me

Bothered me
Supernaut
Bothered me
Supernaut

They all sing the same refrain
It's fun to take a trip, put acid in your veins

Twenty-five seconds
Twwenty seconds and counting
Fifteen seconds, guidence is internal
Twelve, eleven, ten, nine
Ignition sequence starts
Six, five, four, three, two, one

Got no religion, don't need no friends
Got all I want and I don't need to pretend
Don't try to reach me, 'cause I'd tear up your mind
I've seen the future and I've leave it behind

"Practically every one of the top 40 records being played on every radio station in the united states is a communication to the children to take a trip, to cop out, to groove. The psychedelic jackets on the record albums have their own hidden symbols and messages, as well as the lyrics to all the top rock songs, and they all sing the same refrain:
It's fun to take a trip, put acid in your veins."

True story: One night as a new Air Force SSgt. I was the acting mid-shift expediter which meant I had to supervise the cross-loading of missiles from jet to jet for the next morning's flights as well as oversee the evening's scheduled maintenance. This meant I spent the night on the flight line in a truck with a radio. While the load crews were out doing their thing I was listening to the local rock station which was hosting a call-in trivia contest. The question was: On the Black Sabbath Tribute Album 'Nativity In Black', Trent Reznor sang vocals with Ministry on the Sabbath song 'Supernaut'. What was the name of the band they performed under on the album? The answer to which I totally knew. No one who had called in thus far did. The DJ said he would take one more call before calling the contest quits for the night. I decided 'What the hell. I'll give it a shot.' I dialed up the station on my cell and to my surprise, I actually got on the air and, of course, answered the question correctly. That being '1000 Homo DJs'. 'Holy shit!', I thought. Far out! Then the hard part began. I had to be placed on hold so the station could take down my information. In the meantime, I still had to monitor and communicate with the rest of the squadron and my crews on my own radio while this lengthy process occurred. I drove to a remote area of the line and did my best to maintain squadron communication while simultaneously dealing with the radio station. Fortunately, I pulled it off and scored two tickets to see Nine Inch Nails at the Pensacola Civic Center the following weekend. I had never won anything like that before leave alone on air over live radio. It was so fun going to the station to pick up my tickets. It was the third time I'd seen NIN live and it was a totally kick-ass show. I recall in the morning when the day-shift rolled in, one of my comrades had actually heard me win over the radio. I believe he said something to the effect of: 'That was you!?' Sure was, mate.
