Cecilia, you're breaking my heart
You're shaking my confidence daily
Oh, Cecilia, I'm down on my knees
I'm begging you please to come home

Cecilia, you're breaking my heart
You're shaking my confidence daily
Oh, Cecilia, I'm down on my knees
I'm begging you please to come home
Come on home

Making love in the afternoon with Cecilia
Up in my bedroom (making love)
I got up to wash my face
When I come back to bed someone's taken my place

Cecilia, you're breaking my heart
You're shaking my confidence daily
Oh, Cecilia, I'm down on my knees
I'm begging you please to come home
Come on home

Ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba, ba-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba

Jubilation
She loves me again
I fall on the floor and I'm laughing

Jubilation
She loves me again
I fall on the floor and I'm laughing

Whoah-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Whoah-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

Whoah-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh
Whoah-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh

Overall Meaning

The song "Cecilia" by Simon & Garfunkel, is a catchy tune about the singer being frustrated with a woman named Cecilia for breaking his heart and shaking his confidence. He is down on his knees, begging her to come home because she is constantly causing him distress. The singer then goes on to describe how he was intimate with Cecilia in his bedroom while making love in the afternoon. When he gets up to wash his face, he comes back to find someone else in his bed, implying that Cecilia has cheated on him. Despite this, the singer is elated when Cecilia loves him again, causing him to fall on the floor laughing in joy.

The song's meaning has been widely debated, with some interpretations suggesting that Cecilia is a metaphor for the temptations and distractions of life that can lead to dissatisfaction, while others interpreting the song as a commentary on the complexities of relationships and the perseverance required to make them work.

Theory of the songs so far, Continued from my theories on Ch 9, still doing these I guess

Chapter 1, Hiding in the Blue:
The song most likely takes place after the "war" told both in the lyrics of the song and in Pride and fear. The war was about defending Arcadia the home of our character from demons(most likely referring to humans though). Our character is most likely started off by taking refuge on the island after being defeated in the battle and could not return as portrayed by the lyrics when she says she is waiting for her friend to find her and take her home

Chapter 2, Arcadia:
Most likely the first song chronologically. While it does not have any lyrics we can find some things in the video. This is most likely the prologue just before the "war" in which we have our character looking over a lake and a shrine with her friend (unsure of relationship, most likely a significant other though). we also see a bit of Arcadia which seems to be a peaceful place. While is not shown in the video is most likely a floating island or array of floating islands as shown by the flying ships and other songs.

Chapter 3, Pride and Fear:
In terms of chronology, this song has no real place as it describes Arcadia before the war, during the war, and it also describes it after the war. From the song, we understand some more about Arcadia in which was a land of great prosperity and peace. However, behind the scenes, many people became greedy and wanted more power and decided to rebel most likely turning into a civil war (unsure as to who these people were although it was most likely greedy upperclassmen who swayed the lower classes, should also note that these are the demons referred to in chapter 1). After the war the land became desolate and as far as I can tell with no real winners only survivors. The ending tells of a lost land haunted by demons and ghosts most likely the warmongers and survivors respectively.

Chapter 4, Upwind:
Most likely just before the war broke out and the armies were preparing for war. We see our character look at their friend who we can see is most likely a military official heading off to war and bidding farewell. The name of the song confuses me as upwind means to go against the wind In this case I think it means that they are fighting an uphill battle or they are not sure if they can win this war.

Chapter 5, Our Song:
Most likely a while after the war began and we see our character overlooking what seems to be Arcadia. Our Character is alone after her friend left for war. The lyrics describe her waiting for him to return, but unsure as to when he will be back. She is reminiscing when he left as described in the lyrics as well. From this song, we learned that her friend is most likely her significant other and probably a long-time friend.

Chapter 6, Violet Sky:
This song chronologically takes place after hiding in the blue where our protagonist finds her way home seeing it in ruins. We see it is the same place as Arcadia most likely meaning the war had been brought deep inside her home, I do not believe that the war is over in fact I think it was won by the opposite side, the demons as described in Pride and Fear and Hiding in the Blue. We see a giant mech overlooking the ruins most likely a weapon used by the opposing enemies which cement the idea that this world is more like a technological fantasy with flying ships and mechs, and those giant orbs in Pride and Fear. Our protagonist is filled with grief, but must push forward as described by the lyrics such as "This is getting heavy but I carry on". Our hero decides to go bring the war to the demons.

Chapter 7, Warbringer:
This song takes place just a bit after Violet Sky in Which our protagonist stands in front of a giant mech. I do not believe this is an enemy mech as the design is different than the one in Violet Sky (remember this is a civil war they most likely have the same technology but use it differently such as different designs). This seems to be our hero's mech as she is in front of it with her sword on her back not in her arms as it would be if it was an enemy. She will most likely climb into the mech and bring the war to the demons. If you are still not persuaded, the lyrics describe that we are no longer able to run away and now must go into the lion's den (the enemy's home) and that they are bringing the war to them

Chapter 8, Fire:
This chapter takes place after Warbringer as we see our protagonist's mech against the same mech in chapter 6 Violet Sky. We see a city (most likely that of the enemies considering she probably walked through there) in which projectiles are raining down from above causing huge explosions. This is most likely a resistance attacking or just a meteor shower. The name Fire implies that it is an attack on the demons since fire is what someones says to signal an attack.

Chapter 9, Love it when you hurt me:
Our protagonist has been battling the enemies for quite some time judging by the destruction of the city and how damaged both mechs are. It seems our protagonist has gained the upper hand as the enemies city and mech are both destroyed while she is still standing somewhat damaged. The lyrics in my opinion don't make sense for the storyline, but most likely refers to the protagonist's own life that she loves thrills even if they may hurt though this is a stretch really unsure how it fits in.

Chapter 10, Let Love Win
The final chapter of our journey begins with quick audio of all the other songs from "Hiding in the Blue" to "Love it When You Hurt Me." We then see that in the other Mech was our hero's friend who seemed to have been brainwashed by the lyrics " Don’t give in to the sad machine, to the TV screens" Our hero tries to make him remember hoping that her love will make him remember. In the end, it seems that he did remember her if only a little. They reconcile and it seems that they rebuild.

Chronological order so far:
1. Arcadia, 2. Upwind, 3. Our song, 4. Hiding in the Blue, 5. Violet Sky,
6. Warbringer, 7 Fire, 8 Love it When You Hurt Me, 9 Let Love Win (Pride and Fear Spans from Arcadia until Violet Sky)

Thank you for reading this. I am surprised I kept this up. I thank you all for reading the Parallax adventure or at least my interpretation in reality the story is huge, but I ain't writing it all. Hopefully, you'll liked this, and thank you.

Lyrics:
Been waiting for so long
The winds have grown strong
The birds have come and gone, mm
I'm looking every day
But you might still be
A thousand miles away
Do you know
I'm holding on
Hoping
Looking in the distance as I sing our song
You took you shield and sword
Said you have to go
Left me and went to war
Now I'm looking at the moon
Nothing left of you
But this little tune
Do you know
I'm holding on
Hoping
Looking in the distance as I sing our song
The seasons come and go
Sun covered in snow
The trees turned into stone
My eyes are slowly closing
But I keep on hoping
Try to keep them open
Try to keep them
And just in case I miss you
Please wake me with a kiss
Would you wake me with a kiss
Would you wake me with a-

So far, the story goes like this,
In Chapter 1, the empire of Arcadia have been overrun by a demon invasion and our Female Protagonist survived and took refuge in a sky island. She was a soldier in the legions, who fought to defend her home but ultimately lost the war. Distraught over the destruction of her home, she reminisce her past life in Arcadia and the adventures she used to have. Now, she has waited day and night for a Hero to take her home.

In chapter 2, from the music and the background, it is understood that a Hero is taking her to someplace in a pleasant journey through the mythical lands. However based on the title, it is highly likely that chapter 2 also describes the past life of our Female Protagonist in Arcadia.( So, it would be safe to assume that The Hero is taking her to someplace, and she is also having flashbacks of her past life in Arcadia, during the journey.)

In Chapter 3, our Female Protagonist narrates the history of Arcadia. Once upon a time, Arcadia was a vast and highly prosperous empire. People revered it's glorious legends, and upheld the peace. But greed, pride, and fear slowly started to grow among the people. Eventually, the peace started to fade away, as no one was left to uphold it. Later, Arcadia got invaded by demons ( perhaps to collect the wealth the empire and the people hoarded due to greed). The demons ravaged the lands and now, Arcadia has become a ruin, haunted by the souls of the people who lived here.

In chapter 4, from the title, music, and background, it is understood that The Hero and our Female Protagonist has arrived in place which looks a 'Sky-port', and is seen boarding a sky-ship. As the ship is armed with cannons, it is highly likely that they are planning to use sky-ships to take back Arcadia. From the background, it also seems that they are parting their ways, and the hero is going to someplace.

In Chapter 5, the hero has left our Female Protagonist and went to war.( the background of chapter 4 is also indicating this plot-line.) She is now holding on for the hero and is waiting while singing their song. ( the lyrics "... da da da da da..." could refer to the tune of the song they used to sing together. This also indicates that she already knew the hero before chapter 1.) Now, the seasons have passed and winter has come. She is still holding out for him. Whenever she misses him, she wishes that the hero would wake her with a kiss.( This indicates that they have a close relationship with each other.)

(The sneak-peak of chapter 6 shows that there would be a battle between our Female Protagonist and a demon. The location of the background is the same as Chapter 2. So, i think that chapter 2 was indeed taking place in the past. I guess we will know more when chapter 6 releases.)
