Displaced
[:SITD:] Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I don't like this place at all
It makes me wonder what I'm here for
Please allow me to explain
Stop yourself and listen
The more I give the less you see
That what I want is not for me
Can we clear these clouds away
And feel the sun again?
CHORUS:

Something disappears inside
Does darkness end in crystal light?
The vast heavens, lightning skies
Every day I miss them
(2x)
You got a different point of view
It doesn't matter what I do
Please allow me to explain
Stop yourself and listen
I am lonesome to the bone
Lost in rain and storm
Can we clear these clouds away
And feel the sun again?
CHORUS:

Something disappears inside
Does darkness end in crystal light?
The vast heavens, lightning skies
Every day I miss them
(2x)
Every day I miss them
Something disappears inside

Every day I miss them
Every day I miss them

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of [:SITD:]'s song Displaced convey the feeling of being trapped in a place or a situation that feels foreign and suffocating. The lyrics indicate that the person singing the song is feeling disoriented and wondering about their purpose for being in this place. The lyrics express a desire to be heard and understood by others, despite the fact that the more they try to explain themselves, the less people seem to understand them. The chorus of the song seems to suggest that with each passing day, the person singing the song is losing a part of themselves to the darkness of their circumstances.

The lyrics also convey a sense of longing for something that feels out of reach. The vast heavens and lightning skies mentioned in the chorus represent something bigger and more beautiful than the current situation the person singing the song finds themselves in. The lyrics express a sense of hopelessness and loneliness, with the person feeling lost in the metaphorical rain and storm of their circumstances. The lyrics call for a change, for the clouds to be cleared and for the sun to shine again.

Overall, Displaced by [:SITD:] is a powerful and emotional song about feeling lost and disconnected from oneself and one's surroundings. The song encourages people to listen to each other and strive to understand each other's perspectives, and expresses a desire for a brighter and more fulfilling future.

Incredible! My son shared this with me on VR... This short video is very effective in presenting each child's perspective. We need informative and meaningful films. Thank you.

Mountain Peak Films

Absolutely epic work. This is a brilliant example of how to use technology to bring the viewer directly into the video.

I have only cried twice watching a movie or a video. And this almost made me cry. Very powerful

Very emotional and actually so correlative. When the NATO bombing started in Serbia I was nine and after that the question: "Did you go though a war or something!?" that people would normaly ask whenever they get upset was definetly not the same. Plus the wars out of our country, devastating for any family whose members have died or suffered of those in any way.
All of us, children, were relying on things we could find right next to us to play with, and if there was dirt and dirt only we would either "bake cakes" out of it or just play with simple games such as "Care, care, koliko je sati?" ("Tsar, Tsar, what time is it?") or similar games that required even less than Dungeons and Dragons. Just us and our imagination. But the stories of everyday life were more than upseting. Some sounds would, also, stay forever forged into our minds, such as the air danger starting (or ending) siren. Or even any airplane flying nearby, literaly.
May God be, for the rest of their lives, on the side of everyone experiencing things like these shown in the video. God blesses these kids!
P. S. Sorry for the bad grammar and a looooooong comment.

At first I thought that the VR was going to be some cheep gimmick but after watching this and moving the camera around it really gave me a sense of place which made this story that much more real. I really feel sympathetic for these children that have to go through this struggle and I truly hope for a much better life for them all in the future.
