1987年生。大阪府在住の音楽家。
アコースティックギターを基調に、繊細なエレクトロニクス、柔らかで清涼感溢れるサウンドを奏でる。

2010年より大阪で[.que]としての活動を開始
2010年4月、高橋幸宏氏（YMO,pupa）を審査員に迎えたFRED PERRY×MySpace 楽曲コンテスト ”FRED PERRY / WHY?”にて優秀楽曲として評価される。
これまでに数々のコンピレーションアルバムに参加、SCHOLE HOPE PROJECT、宮内優里の”ほんじつのおんがく”、one day diaryとのコラボレーションなど。

コンポーザー、サウンドデザイナーとしても活動しており、空間演出、映像作品への楽曲提供等、その活動は多岐に渡っている。
今後活躍が期待される若手クリエイターの一人である。

2012年5月には自身のレーベルembrace labelより1st album "sigh"、また7月には"sigh"よりも以前に制作された、配信限定だった"calm down"をCD化した2nd albumをリリース。

I don't think Orphism and Christianity are related like this. The story of Jesus as it's known reminds us of both the stories of Orpheus (someone speaking about God/s and getting lots of followers while some are noticing his influence and conspire against him) and Dionysus (in Euripides Bachae, his cult is banned and he is arrested without resisting, while he is on a hill with his followers), but the beliefs of the two as they survive are rather different.

* For Orpheus nature existed before the Gods, and all the Gods came to be while the universe already existed. For Christians it's the other way around and a God created the universe.

* For Orpheus humans came to existence as a byproduct, a random event, and they are insignificant in the cosmos. For Christianity the whole cosmos was made just to house humans.

* For Orpheus only the soul is worthy. The body is just an inferior dirty vessel of the soul that acts as a jail for the soul. Only the soul goes to afterlife. For Christians body and soul are equally important and connected, and afterlife exists as resurrection, with the soul still coupled with a body.

But even though the beliefs of the two are very different, there is an amount of Orphic stuff that where appropriated by the Christian Church. For example the Holy Communion. It's an imitation of the Holy Communion of the Orphics, who drunk red sweet whine to commune with Dionysos. Or the bronze bells that are traditionally featured in Christian churches. It's because of the ancient pagan Greek belief that the sound bronze produces when its hit, is apotropaic. Meaning it purifies a place by driving away evil spirits.

On an entheogenic trip, some 7 years ago, I was shown the tree of life, Source, or whatever you call the place where all souls go to and back from. I saw Earth's magnetic field, and was told that our planet, the Sun, and our Universe were conscious beings just like us humans. Furthermore, I was told of rebirth, and that we will be reborn until we have perfected our souls. All this when I was a hardline atheist and had never of these ideas before. Few years later, I stumbled upon Orpheus' teachings, and what a surprise: He spoke of those things I saw in that trip years ago.

Beautifully done, lovely art. Neal has a pleasant voice. That is amazing that Clement would embrace Orphic art and spirituality and see it in Jesus. Christianity wanted approval and acceptance from the most cosmopolitan and progressive culture of the time. It helps that its texts were written in Greek.

nice deep dive. I think it goes farther than orphius, deep dive to the heroes of any culture and end up staring at the same base template for the nature of humanity, for the nature of existence. even when part of the cultures believe diametrcally opposite things it is based off disagreements of the same template

Orphism was definitely major religion in ancient times. The Orphic rites and even Eleucian rites included Orpheus. Just as Pythagoras had followers and even a school + temples.. definitely influenced the resurrection story of Christianity.

Judaism, Christianity and Islam are just an amalgamation of all the cultures around it. Instead of these faiths, I think we need to go to the original stories to get our information.

What do you know about Thracians? Was their language ever discovered written? What is the direction of the dromos of a Thracian royal tomb, and what is its significance? What is the archeological culture to whom Thracians belong? These are all key points to Orphism.

I knew next to nothing of Orpheus before watching this presentation. It seems these minor religions or cults like Orphism filled some social and individual needs. I can see where there are parallels between Orphism and Christianity as in Orpheus' decent to hades to free his beloved and Christ's decent to Hell and his raising of Lazarus etc. Christianity has absorbed and adapted to the various religions it encountered and with the social need existing it seems logical that it absorbed Orphism and that Orphism adapted to Christianity in response. I see Christianity as a giant vacuum cleaner plowing through the landscape absorbing and adapting.

It sounds a lot like Ophiuchus, even the symbols around Orpheus match the constellations around Ophiuchus, Sagittarius was known as Pabilsag, a Mesopotamian god who was best known as the husband of the medicine goddess Ninisina/Gula, the mother of "The Child" Damu. Pabilsag means ‘Forefather’ or ‘Chief Ancestor’, and he was responsible for driving dead souls away from the earth up into the heavens. Note how close the Greek word hedon, ‘pleasure’, is to the word Eden, as in the ‘Garden of Eden’? It is often suggested that the Garden of Eden is probably the womb. The nine stars in the constellation were also considered to be the nine Muses.
Goddess Gula known as the She-Goat, is associated with the Harp Star Vega, and many more association through star names of the constellations around Ophiuchus.
If you place the Sun at the center of Ophiuchus, around December 8th, 6,606 hours later, is the birthday of Mary, 6,606 is 9 months, the Fetus's heart takes it's first beat, at the end of the 3rd week, that would be around Christmas Day, September 8th is the birthday of Mary, a Virgo, known as the Belly Button, you very first scar, when you cut from the womb.

Being a Greek, I can tell you Christianity was a vacuum pump not a cleaner, that wiped out anything Greek and totally distorted it. They still do... There's a list of Greek words that Christianity has destroyed and distorted it's meanings, and also in many cases totally reversed them too. Also it led to centuries of forced Christianisation of the Greek population and many times by force, threat, or/and, total annihilation. It was a power grab from within the empire. Nothing more nothing less. Sorry if I'm spoiling the romance. Of course in school they tell us that we embraced Christianity. And this is what most modern Greeks think apart from people that really like digging... And of course, Christianity changed... Orphism too. Orphism is not a minor religion. Is the foundation of Greek thought. It's Pythagoras, Heraclitus, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle etc. That can't be understood without Orpheus. Orpheus is an anagram of Phoreus. Phoreus means bringer. "The one who carries". All our hymns to the Gods that we still use to this day are the Orphic Hymns.

Orpheus is the hidden constalation. In ancient Egypt (temple Dendera) he is drawn as Horus. The temple is also known as Hathor and the musical instrument was a common instrument here. Dendera means the land of the Gods. In ancient India it is the nakasatra anurada and Jyeshta. The totem animals of this nakasatra are the male and female deer. The planet of Anurada is Saturn and of Jyeshta is Mercury. The first planet & last planet from the sun. (before Uranus was discovered in 1781) It is clear why religious authorities keep the constellation Orpheus hidden.

I think the problem with not understanding how these stories morph is that Americans, amongst others, have no pub culture.

I don't think you know that in Orphism, Lord Dionysus died and rose from the dead to save us from our sinful body. It literally sounds like Christianity just more ancient. Also, there is a creator of sorts in Orphism, called the Demiurge. There are 6 kings, the last of which is Zagreus, only to be Dionysus. Dionysus loves us humans and wishes to save us through initiatory rites.

I think pagan Orphsim had nothing to do with Hebrew Christianity. The later Christians coopted pagan traditions, and even subsumed some pagan beliefs. I use "pagan" loosely here to distinguish it from Abrahamic religions.
