This John Denver album was given to me when I was 16 years old, It was my first ever birthday present{but that's another story}, I had never heard John Denver's music before, but I played his music and loved every single song. and I listened to his music everyday until i could sing every song by heart, I was heart broken when I heard of his passing in his airplane crash. I met him outside a Harvard College auditorium where I’d just Ostend to his speech on world health. I went out the side door and stood with my young Son ext to his limo. Out he came. As he passed me and got in I said “Hi John. Good luck.” Now in the car, he smiled and said “Thank you.” My little moment with John. The next night, I drove to Providence, R. I'm a year-round competitive swim coach. And we recently had a big swim meet down in Ohio last week. Anyone who has kids of their own or works with kids knows how tough this pandemic has been for them. It's been an emotional roller coaster battling covid. Anyway.. the DJ at the meet played this song just a few minutes before the meet started, and I was expecting myself and the other coaches to know the song since we're a bit older and the kids wouldn't like it. But then I stopped and looked around the pool deck and almost every kid on deck was dancing to this song. It was so fricking cool seeing that and seeing these kids smile again. I was in Berlin, Germany in 1992 and went this place called the Irish Pub to throw back a few. They had this two piece band there cranking out a bunch of American tunes all night. At one point they broke into a stretch of John Denver tunes, and man that friggin' bar came ALIVE! Everybody was singing in English (with German Accents of course) and people got on the dance floor and even some tables dancing their butts off. It was the craziest thing I've ever seen! To some people like John here songwriting just comes naturally it just flows out of them other people have to work really hard at it and some people can't do it at all.

Grew up with John Denver first record I had was country roads. Loved his songs talking about mountains and how beautiful things were. Lived in the city but I'll take being a country girl any day. I sure miss this man. ❤️

I love all of John's songs but my favourite is Take Me Home, Country Roads still, this tune is just amusing and make me fresh.
I remembered my grandfather playing this song when I feel grumpy, sleepy and tired and he always sing along.
Just missed him and I'm happy that I live in the countryside of US. Feel so proud to be one!. My grandfather took me to one of John's concert it was amazing and this song is his favourite

John Denver a good voice with bloddy good songs and lyrics. I feel sorry for me that I'm not from that era-the golden era . our generation may have good decent singer but not good country songs and I love old country music.

Listening to this song helps me and I love listening it. I love the peacefulness in it that you get from John Denver because all he sings about is positive things and sweet things Like: Creation, Life, Things to be thankful for, and the goodness of life that is what makes John Denver so very sweet and beautiful because of what he sings about and it is so very precious.

I am not much of a country boy, I live in Southern Washington state, but my father was born and raised in Texas so I have alot of country in my blood. So this is just a wonderful song. 😁
